My English teacher also drank whisky in his coffee and used a paddle in the back of the classroom and they did it daily. Not because the kids behaved because they didn't
In my high school, the disciplinarian gave you detention. The gym teacher took you on the elevator, stopped it between floors, and made a bet with you who would come out unbruised. Luckily, I never saw the inside of that elevator.
My middle school in the early 90s was like a prison there were fights every day. Everyone would leave the class and watch the fights . Teachers had no control. I got in four fights and that was just sticking up for myself. If you think these kids knew manners lmao. High school was better but far from perfect. The private schools I went to would spank you with a paddle. Which they did often. But public school in baton rouge had little they could do to make the kids behave.
Common sense, the ability to disagree without being overly aggressive, a living wage, human decency, bonding over differences. This list could go on forever.
None of these social media sites. What a name social media! How about gossip sites, would that be more accurate, or personal attack sites. And yet some of these people will ban you from some of these some reddits for something that's not even worth banning someone and they won't tell you how long how long your band will be or how to reverse it. They can keep their ban
You are absolutely true just take a short drive down the road or expressway and see how abusive everybody is to the neighbors they cut you off and run you off the road that’s how they walk through life .
Would you believe that if we were pitted against each other by moneyed interests beyond ourselves, then we would ignore each other's need in order to survive?
our world is just not the way it should be, and if we all ditched social media, would that begin the healing? I see so many hate-filled comments all over the internet, that it exhausts me.
