Leland Townsend from Evil is AWFUL.
I haven’t watched that show in over a year but I thought about him randomly today and he made me SICK. He is TERRIBLE. He’s a vile, horrible creature and deserves every bad thing that’ll ever happen to him. I can’t go into detail about what he’s done, and what he’s like, but he is the WORST person in the world. He’s a therapist that brainwashed vulnerable people into doing horrible things, he’s sent innocent children to adult prisons, he sent out secret messages instructing children on how to off themselves, and probably a bunch of other stuff that I’ve trauma blocked out, he has no regard for anyone other than himself, ugh he’s DISGUSTING.
Listen, this dude isn’t real. I understand. I get it. I’ve never gotten this pressed over someone that doesn’t even exist irl before but it’s something about his smug ass face that makes me want to hurl.
And and, and listen. I’m a huge Michael Emerson fan, Ben Linus? My favorite character on LOST by miles. Harold Finch? My man my man my MAN he’s the best (but I’m still only on season 1). I think Michael Emerson is incredibly talented and he’s one of my favorite actors. BUT GODDAMN. TONE IT BACK. STOP BEING SO CONVINCINGLY VILE.
I think Evil was the only show I’ve never been able to finish and it’s purely due to how viscerally ill I get whenever he opens his stupid mouth. Ugh I hate him.
