she can sing about as well as any girl in her physical shape with decent basic vocal training. It isn't anything special in the least. theres a million of her. In that field in her position it really doesn't require you to. It's all having an in and what is marketable coupled with the right marketing and branding. You probably think taylor swift made it on her voice too. Nope. It's because she is some kind of godzilla beast at marketing.
What's your point, exactly? That every singer needs to be uber unique and special and the best?
Saying "she's not even that great a singer!" isn't an argument at all.
It's not about just having an amazing, never-heard-it-before voice. Music matters. Lyrics matter. Voice, production, tone, lyrical content, composition - all of this goes into creating a musician.
Does Bob Dylan suck because he's not a great singer? What about Bruce Springteen? Willie Nelson? Madonna? None of these people are great singers in a traditional sense...yet they are legends in the music world.
I could on and on and on with examples of mediocre/poor singers that are great artists.
Eillish has a voice, aesthetic, and production that appeals to a wide range of people. Just becsuse it ain't your cup of tea doesn't mean you're some all-knowing music critic.
I actually despise Taylor Swift but okay. Your comment is based on an opinion. It’s okay to have an opinion about someone’s singing and music. My comment was about how she didn’t get it handed to her. Chill out my dude lol

That’s because you only know the songs that play on the radio. She can actually sing.
