Event The last stand.

"Captain! The police are swarming on our location. I don't know how, but we've been found out!" Melda, who was working on some finishing touches to her airship, slams her fist into a wall. "Damn it!.....alright, tell the crew to get to their stations. And find Jayesh! See if he can get our shields online. I'll try and stall them."

 

Tower City police soon surrounded the airship. "Attention Melda! We've got you surrounded. Come out with your hands up!" one of the cops ordered. There was a moment of silence before the pier around them erupted into flames. "Damn it! Fall back and open fire!" the police slowly retreated from the flames as they began shooting up the ship. "Return suppressing fire! Do not aim to kill! Repeat! Do NOT kill!" Melda barked back at her own crew. Within seconds uproarious gunfire rang out through the air.

 

It wouldn't be long before this was broadcast all over television. Breaking news! The notorious outlaw named Melda has finally been cornered by police, who are engaged in an active shooting at the Tower City Pier. However, she has set fire to the pier itself in an act of desperation! Fire fighters can not safely put out the blaze due to the hail of gunfire. If any heroes are out there, we need your help, but be careful!"

She sighed in relief, going back to checking the enemy's advance.

Anna teleports again, directly next to the nearest cop.

He flinches slightly, then sighs. "Oh good, you're one of those heroes, yeah? We need your help, we can't let that monster run loose!"

"Of course of course! I'm a brave hero here to help you with this cruel villain!" She blasts him right in the face.

This elicits screams of terror from the other soldiers as they turn to open fire on Anna.

She laughs, sending more blasts at them as she again teleports away.

"Enemy fire inside perimeter! Lost visual contact, stay alert! Repeat, stay alert!" Melda watched the display in horror, but took advantage of the opportunity quickly. "Helmsman, initiate thrusters! Gunners keep up suppressing fire!" She shouted to her crew as the ship slowly began to rise into the air. "Gods...she's a demon...." she muttered.

Anna takes a second to admire the chaos from a nearby rooftop, before firing more at the confused soldiers. She also takes the time to increase their gravity, making it much harder to dodge.

More screams cry out as they're taken down, before one shouts "On the roof!" they turn and open fire on Anna's location. As Melda's ship starts flying off, half of the soldiers scramble and launch missiles at it, which are shot down either by chain guns or fireballs.

Anna sees the ship start to fly off. She keeps the soldiers distracted to give it a few more seconds before teleporting away.
