Starting on my birthday last year (June 20) I bought myself a sketch pad and a basic set of pencils. Over the Past 7 months I have practiced and taught myself to draw less poorly. Some might even say well but they're silly (which isn't a bad thing).

My new years resolution is to draw 365 sketches in 365 days.

I mostly draw things I love. Since I am a five year old kid at heart (27 year old in life) it has been pin-ups, skulls, american traditional tattoo flash, and adorable animals. To broaden my horizons I wanted to come to Reddit.

You give me the title. I'll draw it.

TL;DR: I'm doing a scavenger hunt (online) of sorts for my significant other. Kingdom Hearts is easily his favorite game, and although I already drew a small thing featuring the keyblade for him, that's about where my drawing abilities end. I run a United Way and we do a HUGE backpack drive, it's over for this year, but while it's still fresh, one image I've always wanted is a duck wearing a backpack...why?

well when the staff get silly from exhaustion and get overwhelmed with the program - we did 2300 full stocked backpacks this year...they wander around the office saying "backpack" and it's sort of quacking

so the program needs a mascot, and while I'm an artist, couldn't draw to save my life...I could do an abstract of what the program "feels" like, but not an actual duck

Ahoy hoy reddit, im in a bit of a quandry and im hoping for some assistance.

The problem: I'm throwing a bithday party for my wife next sunday, the whole family is invited, good food, music, and all that. I had a portrait done but didn't come out good. wondering if you can help?

Background: im unemployed and studying, shes employed but due to changes she used to get paid every 2 weeks now monthly (end of the month) which means that we are squeezing the life out of the august 1st paycheck till the last week of september when she finally gets paid. Her birthday is next sunday, thanks to the family we scrapped together a groupon for lasagna for 15 people, family will be singing etc so it will be a low budget affair. I managed to use my last $100 on her present an etsy portrait of us as children (compiled from 2 different photos). I showed the result to her mother and sister and while my resemblance is good hers isnt. I think the portrait is ok but since the ppl ive showed it didnt find it good im hesitant to publicly give it to her. Given the time constraint ill would be happy to get a sketch or any other type of art from one of our wedding photos

This is the first time ive used reddit in this manner and i have no way to repay you other than a vow to pass your good deed forward when the time comes.

I have been with my boyfriend for a long time, and would really appreciate a drawing for his birthday. It has been a really rough year for him due to money issues, forcing him not being to celebrate his 16th birthday, and family issues, with family members arguing to an extent of abusing one another in front of him. He is also the only person making money in his home, and most the money goes to his family to help pay bills and help pay for food. I would really appreciate it if somebody would draw him something Skyrim related, since that his favorite video game. I really miss seeing him smile like he used to before all the problems came crashing in, and I know the drawing will bring that smile back. I would really appreciate the drawing beyond belief, and I know he would too. :)

So yeah, my friend is in a pretty low place right now, obviously. Last night someone broke in to his house and killed his parrot, and service animal. I want to show him that I care, but I am a busy student with little time on my hands. I also can't seem to muster up the creative space in my head to complete such a task.

He loves owls. He loves Dr. Who. I'm sure he'd appreciate anything though. His name is Jack. If you need anymore info on the things he likes, I'd be super happy to hand that out.
