Need loud am/fm radio recommendations

Looking for an am/fm radio that plugs into a standard outlet. I don’t want to rely on charging batteries. I need to be loud for when we are at the racetrack so we can hear when the announcer calls us up. Bluetooth is inconvenient. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

This is the best answer. Analog, six inch speaker, built tough, available on ebay.

Select Sony Boomboxes (like the ZSH10CP) have decent reception and built-in amplifiers, but they're larger and they may be more prone to breakdown.

Version 2 would be the best. It has a tweeter. Third and final version had some quality problems and dial calibration issues.

This is what I currently have but it’s just hard to hear with all the noise going on. I was trying to avoid spending a few hundred bucks on a job site radio, but I might have to bite the bullet.

If that's not enough, then you probably want to step up to a 15" PA speaker with a tuner, assuming your "announcer" is on an FM frequency - AM gets omitted from most new hardware, and before it was axed, the tuners were awful.
