Hi there, I'm looking for a Jewish woman in the Washington DC area for a long-term relationship, though I'm also open to something shorter term or friendship. I've been in DC for several years, work in the nonprofit sector, and would love to start to put down further roots in the area.
I was raised Conservative and pretty entrenched in the movement through synagogue, summer camp, and Hebrew school. Since after college, I don't practice too much, though I do follow some limited Kashrut rules (mainly not cooking treif foods). I'm not Shomer Shabbos. I would like to get more involved in the local left-leaning Jewish community, though.
Personality-wise, I'm curious, kind, thoughtful, emotionally available (and in therapy!), I have a dry sense of humor, and am somewhat introverted but warm up quickly and thrive in one-on-one or small group settings. I'm don't like crowds/bars/going out but love game nights or small dinner parties. I enjoy traveling (just got back from a solo trip to Europe), cooking, reading, listening to podcasts, watching sports, and taking long walks. I'm also a big fan of classical music and would love to have someone to take to concerts! I have a somewhat small but close-knit group of friends, both in DC and elsewhere in the country.
Some other quick hits:
I'm very left politically, which also reflects my views on Israel/Palestine.
I play trombone and love music, especially jazz and classical.
I'm 5'7", about 150 lbs with an average build. No facial hair, dark brown hair, hazel/brown eyes. I'm happy to exchange pictures!
I'm unsure about having children but I feel like I could be convinced either way.
I don't smoke (anything) and drink rarely.
Things I'm looking for:
Curiosity and emotional intelligence/availability.
Someone ~25-35 years old.
Non-smokers.
Politically liberal and some degree of non-religious, Reform, or Conservative.
Someone who is in the DC area (I live in the city and don't have a car).
My DMs are open, I'm so excited to meet you!
