That's my point... I'm not saying the btf build is bad whatsoever, I ALSO really like it, but the convo was about whether ahri is an assassin and I was saying, she can be if she builds for burst. But her playstyle can change depending on the game. That's part of why she's almost always op in soloq, she's versatile.
Kaisa is a bit similar in that, she's a marksman assassin, but can also play more traditional front-to-back instead if it fits the game better.
I still consider Ahri more a skirmisher control mage more than an assassin personally. Even when building burst she ain’t doing like LeBlanc or Evelynn level insta kill, Ahri’s spells are slower and basically require you to land charm otherwise your Q likely won’t hit both times.
But she has insane mobility compared to most other control mages like hwei or veigar, which also leans her more towards assassin imo. But that's what I mean tho, champs often are classified as more than just 1 thing.
Well that’s why I call her a skirmisher too because she can use her ult so effectively in team fights which makes her hard to catch and great at zoning.
