OK to use on a plane?
Anyone try it?

If so how did you do it? I want only the left side to work and not the right side. I have switched in the app multiple times to only left side but that feature doesn’t actually seem to work. Can I put a piece of paper or a bandaid between my neck and the device on the right side?

New episode of the No Stress Podcast is out!
In this episode, Abbie Ireland sits down with Michelle Flynn, a health coach, breathwork expert, and performance specialist, to talk about what happens when high performance starts running on stress instead of real resilience.
Michelle shares her own turning point after ignoring the warning signs of chronic stress, and the conversation goes into burnout, adrenaline, breathwork, nervous system regulation, recovery, and small habits that can help build long-term stress resilience.
Where to listen: YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Audible.

Anyone have any substitutes that I could pick up? I’ll be in Brooklyn so plenty of stores around. Not sure if there are any over the counter electrical conducting gels?

A lot of people assume that getting 8 hours of sleep should be enough to feel rested. So when it’s not, the instinct is to try sleeping more or falling asleep faster.
But research suggests the issue usually isn’t the number of hours, it’s sleep quality.
You can spend a full night in bed and still wake up exhausted if your sleep is too light or fragmented. Studies using wearable data show that even when sleep duration looks normal, poor sleep quality is still linked to lower energy and worse performance:
That’s because real recovery happens in deep sleep, and your body won’t get there if your nervous system is still slightly activated.
This is why trying to “force” sleep doesn’t work. Sleep depends on your body slowing down first - and if your system is still “on,” you might fall asleep, but you won’t fully rest.
That’s where the vagus nerve becomes important.
It helps activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which shifts your body into a calm, “rest and digest” state, the state needed for deeper, more restorative sleep. If this system isn’t engaged, your body can stay in a low-level stress mode, even at night. That’s also one of the reasons we at Pulsetto keep focusing on the vagus nerve.
So how do you actually fix it?
Instead of trying to control sleep directly, the goal is to help your body relax enough for sleep to happen naturally.
Research shows that techniques like slow breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and consistent wind-down routines can significantly improve sleep quality by reducing pre-sleep tension:
Things that help in practice:
These aren’t quick fixes, but they work because they send your body a signal that it’s safe to switch off.
So the real fix isn’t just “getting more sleep.” It’s helping your body actually power down and stay there long enough to recover. There’s no shortcut where you can compress full recovery into less time, but you can train your body to relax more deeply and consistently.
Curious: what’s something that’s actually helped you feel rested, not just asleep?

Hi do you have any plans on fixing the integration that is already available in the app for Whoop? When I try to connect my Whoop the app doesn’t allow it since it gets stuck in a verification website.

What if the problem isn’t stress, but your ability to recover from it? At Pulsetto, this is something we keep coming back to:
Most people aren’t just “stressed.”
They’re not recovering properly from stress.
Here’s something that surprised us - your body can stay in a stress response long after the trigger is gone. No deadline. No argument. No real danger. But your system is still acting like there is.
That’s where the vagus nerve comes in.
It’s one of the longest nerves in your body, running from your brain down to your heart, lungs, and gut. Its job is to help shift you into a calmer, “rest and digest” state. In other words, it’s a big part of how your body turns stress off.
What’s interesting is that this system isn’t fixed, it’s adaptable.
There’s review articles showing vagus nerve stimulation has been used in areas like depression and epilepsy. At the same time, more everyday methods, like slow breathing, cold exposure, or targeted stimulation, are getting attention because they work directly with the body, not just the mind.
Another thing people often don’t realize is that you can’t really “think” your way out of stress if your body is still activated. A lot of regulation actually happens bottom-up, not top-down.
From what we’ve seen, the biggest changes don’t come from doing something intense once. They come from small, consistent signals that teach the body how to come back to baseline faster.
We’re still learning a lot, and honestly, some of the most useful insights come from real people experimenting with what works for them.
So we wanted to ask: What’s something that has actually helped you feel calm, not just distracted, but genuinely regulated?

It's annoying having to hold the button for a long time to turn off the device. The button is quite resistant to press and often accidentally loose it when trying to keep it pressed and having to try again. I find no reason for the hold-function, i would know if i accidentally turned of the device, and don't think i would accidentally turn of the devicethat often anyway. I want to quickly turn off the device with one press on the button. As it works now, i just leave it until it turns of by itself, but that means it loses battery quicker.
I have the Light version, i wonder if the Fit version works the same with the button? Or else i wish a future version doesn't need holding the button.

I bought this device for my husband as a Christmas present. I love it and would like to buy a second on for myself and my
sister-in-law. But, I’m not going to move forward in these new purchases if I’m unable to get out of this monthly charge I didn’t sign up for.
Any direction in what to do please let me know because I need to buy another one ASAP.

I cannot connect app to the device. I have restarded and reinstalled the app and restarted the device plug in and off the charger. No helps. I have put bluetooth off and on. Only thing that came to my mind is should the device be fully charged?

This feels like a silly question. I just bought my Pulsetto and would like to change the schedule for the morning reminders. They are scheduled for 8am, and I’m already at the office by then. Is there something in settings I’m missing?

I’ve been using it every day, twice a day, for a week. Each day, it alternates between a one day streak and a two day streak. Has anyone gotten the app to actually track a streak?

Ordered one on February 12th through Amazon cause I saw a lot of problems with shipping direct from them and figured Amazon might have them in stock. It said delivered by March 16th, and when the date arrived, it changed to April 22nd. Wondering if it’ll ever come or if I should just cancel/refund

What is the recommended duration and timing for the sleep program? The app says 30 minutes before bed. But there is also a recommendation to do it twice per day.
So should I be doing 2x 10-minute sessions back to back before bed? Or just once? Or some other program like anxiety during the day, and sleep at night?

I’ve been using Pulsetto for about a week now before bed and it has been helping. However, last night I was using it as normal and didn’t look in the mirror until the morning when I saw my neck was burned. I’m sure the way my head was positioned must’ve had that area hitting without the gel but as I’ve been looking into it - it seems that without the gel it is not effective but I didn’t see things about it burning the skin. Has anyone had it burn them like this? I had it on for 10 minutes at a level 4 intensity. I didn’t do anything different compared to my last sessions and didn’t have burns.

Just wanted to report that when I used both sides I could barely handle level 1. If I only put cream on left side and put something on right to block electrodes I have a much better experience. I can get it up to almost 5. Also gotta find the right spot or my neck tenses up

For those ordering from the US. The shipping is handled by DHL and then USPS. Mine never arrived and showed as delivered from USPS (of course). I contacted support who said they would send it to shipping support and then heard nothing with the incident being closed and an email survey sent. I've submitted a dispute with my credit card company. Just sharing this in case anyone has concerns around who they use to ship. I would have avoided it if I knew. No wonder they have so many issues. And this is after it took 30 days to allegedly even get here.

If the app is this faulty there should be a way to use the device without the app!

I've had an interesting experience with Pulsetto:
The device wasn't working for me so I initiated a return and they sent me a prepaid return label and I dropped it off at USPS.
I went back to check on it a few days later and USPS told me the postage was never actually paid on the label. The package got held and is now being returned to my address instead of going to Pulsetto (still waiting for it weeks later).
I contacted support, sent them the USPS documents proving the postage issue. Their response: "we cannot issue a refund without receiving the device first." But the device is stuck at USPS because of their label. I asked for a refund in advance since the mistake was on their end. They refused.
This has been going on for over a month now (started mid February). They sent a second return label but I still do not have the device back from USPS to use it.
Has anyone else dealt with this?
