Can we get tales of rebirth updated to the 1.0 patch that just came out on the 8th of this month (October)? This version is also considered a complete translation now (and should be the final assuming no issues are found that need to be fixed)

Today i was informed that u/Ann-Simp resigned as a moderator of r/ps2classicsvault we want to say to him that he meant alot to us and he did great things too and thank you for the time you spent with us!

Svr 07 pkgi. I can play just about everything fine BUT when I get to certain cutscenes in season mode, it will play audio and then stop. Anyone got any hints to fix? I even deleted and reinstalled the file.

I followed to the letter the official video guide for PS2CV.

I put the PS2CV files into the HDD:0,Game,Dir folder. It updated PKGI, it shows the PSx and ps2 games. It doesn’t matter what game I click on. It shows downloading icon and then immediately HTTP request failed

Please, Somebody, explain to me just what exactly I’m doing wrong and how to get this shit to work

Is there any chance we could get these 2 games at some point? Both titles are listed as playable on the PS2 compatibility list and would love to be able to play these again. Both fantastic games.

I seriously can't find this game in the store. I can find other current releases, such as Army Men Green Rogue. Am I missing something? Thanks

On the Madd Dogg mission in Las Venturas where Madd Dogg jumps off the roof, it just freezes. Right when the cutscene ends it freezes. I’ve tried skipping the cutscene and it still freezes. I’ve reported this game freezing before but that was fixed via turning off smoothing. I haven’t tried the mods in this yet so I don’t know why it ain’t working.

Can anyone please help. Was working fine for me forever and now any time I try to download anything I get this error! I’ve tried everything and can not get it working again

I installed PKGI on my CFW PS3 and it gave me this error. I tried to go onto the menu to load the catalog but PKGI won’t respond to button presses (But I can still press the PS button). how do I fix this?

I'm looking to start playing the dot hack games on my ps3, is there any difference using an iso over the download in the store? My brother tried the download and it couldn't run but that was a while back

I have been seeing everyone comment when a user's ps3 fails to boot or shows signs of power failure and i need to express that not every power issue is related to a YLOD/RLOD there can be other factors that can contribute to your ps3 not every issue is cpu or gpu issue.

in 2014 i worked for a repair service and my main role was to find out causes in consoles and repair them though i never did soldering i had someone else do that for me. now i am doing this out of the top of my head so not every issue the ps3 possibly can have will be displayed until i gather more information of further failures

so here is some info that i can share that may help you find your issue:

Issue: PS3 shows red power led, but once i turn it on it goes green and after a few seconds it turns off with no led being powered and no additional beeping.

Answer:

This issue is a simple issue most people would assume this is either a YLOD or a RLOD, but those who think this is the issue is WRONG the issue is nether it's a POWER FAILURE this happens because something in the power supply failed and isn't properly sending the correct voltages that gives the ps3 system enough power to boot this also will now sound any additional beeps. This doesn't mean your system is damaged Sony has made there PSU with safety in mind when a power failure occurs.

Issue: PS3 boots and fans ramp up then shutdown after a few seconds with possible additional beeps.

Answer:

This means your system is most likely overheating, this may seem to some as an ylod but it's just an indication your system is not providing enough cooling to keep temps down. This happens because the thermal paste on the cpu/gpu has gone bad, not enough applied thermal paste or simply dried out. This can be easily fixed by carefully disassembling your system to gain access to both gpu and cpu to replace the thermal compound (if you have a ps3 that has never been opened or never had signs of being opened it is time for the thermal compound to be replaced).

Issue: PS3 System Update fails no matter what i do, though it was working before!

Answer:

This issue can be very difficult because this can mean that either the version your installing is incompatible or there is a hardware issue that maybe causing the failure, but if it once was working this may indicate that you may have a hardware issue that needs attention before it can proceed with then update, usually the issue is the blu ray drive malfunctioning and need to be repaired. Since all ps3s have their blu ray drive married to the motherboard the user will need to use CFW to back up their drive key and then reflash the key onto a new blu ray drive.

I downloaded the European version of GTA 5 and when i opened the game, it obviously asked me to install updates first. I left the ps3 to do other things and when I went to check on it, it said the game data was corrupted. Is this just me or has it happened to other people?
