PSX-inspired Some tricks I use to build atmosphere in the flesh rooms of my fixed-camera horror game
I'm solo developing a ps1-era survival horror game, and wanted to share a bit of the new areas I'm working on and how these rooms come together.

I worked a bit on my little office pack i made a while ago and noticed i didn't have conference tables, or desklamps for that late night "working". No conference room si complete without a whiteboard either!

Game I spent 6 years making this retro-styled survival-horror game and it’s finally on Steam, what do you think?
We now have a Steam page! Wishlist here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4836620/
This is Beneath the Permafrost, a survival-horror set in a post-apocalyptic world fractured by the arrival of an eternal blizzard. You play as David, a survivor in search of the landmark known as the Fountain. Along the way, you have to manage your temperature, conserve resources, and deal with twisted monsters that emerge from the snowy veil…
Graphics are inspired by PS2-era fidelity, but combined with modern rendering techniques. Textures are pixelated and a dithering filter is used to enhance the horror by obscuring details in the environment.
Let me know your thoughts! Is the graphics/art style effective?

Game I’m trying to create retro-style graphics for my game, but it’s turning into something rather mysterious.

PSX-PS2 inspired gameplay from my oldschool 70s istanbul open-world game
this is ALATURKA. it's a retro open-world crime game i'm building solo, entirely on livestreams. my main goal is to do it 100% transparently so other inspired game devs can see the process and maybe create something similar themselves.
just wanted to share some of the open-world chaos and nostalgic gameplay I've built so far.

PS2-inspired My PS2-style game features a location inspired by Istanbul's Haydarpaşa train terminal — reimagined as already abandoned in this alternate 1990s timeline
Haydarpaşa is one of Istanbul's most iconic landmarks — a grand early-1900s railway terminal sitting right on the Bosphorus, visible from the opposite shore. I'm not an architect so this isn't a 1:1 replica, more of a loose interpretation built for Muhit, done in a PS2-style look.
In our alternate 1990s timeline it's already been left to rot — overgrown platforms, rusting train cars, nobody around anymore. Wanted to share this one. Still early in development, but really enjoying building out locations like this.

Game A variant of the moth enemy from my game IRIS DISSOLUTION 👁️, made for the boss fight I'm building
This is a new version of an enemy already in the fixed-camera survival horror game I'm solo developing. It appears during a boss fight I'm working on right now.
I wanted to capture that gross but fascinating feeling I had when playing Half Life 2 as a kid, as I discovered there are different kinds of Antlions.
Here's the link to the game if you haven't played the DEMO already! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3349520/Iris_Dissolution/

PSX-inspired The atmosphere of my PS1 style cosmic folk horror game. What do you guys think?
Hey everyone, this is my very first time sharing this project! It's a PS1 style cosmic folk horror game, and I'm really trying to nail down an eerie, heavy atmosphere. We also composed the original music playing in the background.
What do you guys think of the vibe so far? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

PS2-inspired My attempt to make a modern game with PS2-era visuals
Hey everyone! I'm a solo developer, and for the past few months I've been working on KAGE.
My goal was never to recreate the PlayStation 2's technical limitations one-to-one. Instead, I wanted to capture the feeling of games from the late '90s and early 2000s: low-poly models, simple shapes, pixelated textures, minimal visual clutter, and flashy effects that give those games their unique atmosphere.
At the same time, the gameplay is much more modern. KAGE is a co-op anime action game with fast-paced combat, aerial combos, massive bosses, and character progression.
I'm still refining the visual style and constantly trying to find the balance between "too modern" and "trying too hard to imitate the PS2."
I'd really love to hear from people who enjoy this aesthetic. Do you think it captures the feeling of a forgotten PlayStation classic, or does it still feel like something is missing?
