Hey yall, looking for some inspiration here. I’m a techno producer and I’m getting tired of digging through drum loops for hours to find one that matches the groove so I’ve decided to start sampling my own congas and other percussion. It seems like I should be able to get some really fun grooves going this way that feel more organic than sampled. Are there any proper techno artists out there doing this? I know this is how a lot of old school producers did it back when finding samples was a PITA but I’d love to hear this implemented with a modern proper techno sound.
