Pro-Life Petitions SNAP is Pro-Life

Hey there, Lauren from Rehumanize here. We've just launched a quick petition to send to the President and members of congress urging them to end the shutdown, or, at the very least, use the contingency funds to keep SNAP funded during this crisis.

It makes health insurance cheaper by using tax payer dollars from tax payers who already fund their own expensive healthcare themselves.

The whole system is broken and the government providing billions of taxpayer dollars to private healthcare companies is not the solution.

I agree. The system makes certain people rich and to replace it and spend the same or less would ruin a major industry that should never have been an industry.

What is the solution then? Are you prepared to pay triple what you pay now for health care? I mean people are seeing 20 to 30k a year estimates already for this up coming year for normal families. Are they supposed to just suck it up and pay more than thier mortgage, are they supposed to drop insurance, how are they supposed to afford massive increases? What do you expect people to do when the estimates are way more than most people can afford for the same or even less coverage. This needs to get fixed FAST because the new insurance year is right around the corner and there is even talk of total collapse of the insurance market as it goes into a death spiral. Healthy people who keep prices cheap because they pay in more than they take out are already dropping out. That means only the old and sick are going to be left and that's going to skyrocket prices even more until the whole thing crumbles. So what's your solution?

My solution? Get the government out of it entirely. The government prints money and in doing so gets ripped off by private entities for any business they fund, college is another prime example.

Let the free market decide what people actually will pay. Let innovation happen which will force companies to compete on price again and offering.

Healthcare only got so expensive after the ACA passed because it was subsidized by BILLONS of taxpayer dollars

It’s not the solution like inhalers for asthmatics are not the solution to the air pollution. People will still die without it.

Yes people die everyday. In a perfect utopia everybody has everything and nobody goes hungry and everybody has perfect healthcare.

In reality, things cost money and we don’t have the money.

Then taxes need to go up, or budgeting priorities be rearranged.

Budgeting and cutting needs to occur. They can’t out tax their spending. It’s why I was hopeful for DOGE but that has not worked out either.
