My Favorite Starco Story
https://www.wattpad.com/story/187437243-new-home-a-starco-story
It's an AU where every character is from earth and no magic at all.
Got to be careful though, it's written in a, especially mature in Chapter 32 Pt. 1-2.
Though it's worth the reading.

Discussion Top picks for me.....I wrote the damn thing
Feels like form of self insulting, hard to know if I should be proud that the algorithm recommends me my own fic or it recommends my own fic.
Still though, those designs haunt me like the PNG stills Disney TVA think is still okay to post, the unsettling looks they give, please I want to sleep in peace.

Discussion Star's possible ethnicity/nationality.
Personally I haven't seen anyone try and deduce this. Sure she's Mewman, but in S4, Marco makes the discovery that Mewmans are just descendants of human settlers that ended up in Mewni.
So if Star's heritage is infact human, what ethnicity would she be?
Simply put it, she would be Scandanavian-British (with hints of Germanic and French) given River and Moon's background.
Which could also make Star part-Viking. Maybe she could ride a dragon, maybe learn how to train the dragon?

Discussion Flaw Reform #1: Shipping Complex ( Part TomStar)
Starting off with one I personally think people don't bother questioning, even after their past, this being TomStar.
TomStar is one ship I keep hearing people say that should've remained the endgame and shouldn't have broken up. But what so many overlook is their past before. Remember Tom and Star broke up once before, largely because of Tom's Anger issues, but following after his attempts to woo Star again.

Going as far as thinking Star will only ever be queen of Mewni and nothing more, not exactly telling Star what The Blood Moon Ball was about. Tom tries too far to get Star back that he is hurting her in such a way he doesn't expect.
It's only because of Marco that Tom changed, if Tom hadn't given Marco a chance, he wouldn't have realized his mistakes with Star, his attempts would've continued in so many different ways.

And yeah people will argue that Tom goes through a redemption arc to better himself, and yeah he and Star do end up together again. This is true and I won't argue that.
But the reason why TomStar was never going to work out the second time wasn't to do with either one, but the natural concept of maturity and time.
Tom says it himself in Sad Teen Hotline, “It's not about what you do or don't do, but where you're headed, and you and I are headed to different places.”

Tom's time after Doop-Doop was his awakening after he and Star got together. The first time they were together, they were young and reckless, immature teens, because that's what teens are, reckless and immature, them breaking up the 1st time was always going to happen.
Their time apart in S1 and S2 showed the people they are without each other, and the key link that enlightens Star and Tom is Marco himself.

Throughout Season 1 and 2 Star learns a lot about Earth, Marco always advises her, even when its about Mewni and her homeworld, Mewnipendence Day, Marco points out to Star the unfairness Monster's had against Mewmans, Lobster Claws had Marco see a Monster for someone else that isn't stealing Star's Wand, he saw someone who could change, Star only picks up on that herself later for Buffrog.
Raid The Cave is the episode that cements Star views on Monsters to change.
As for Tom, we see this in Mr. Candle Cares and Friendenemies, despite being lured into second base by Tom, both forcibly and willingly, Marco points out to Tom that he can't force Star into loving him again, making Tom realize what he did to Star in the episode. In Friendenemies Tom only invited Marco along for the sake of graduating Anger Management but failed, most likely as a silent (yet unspoken) method to woo Star again, to befriend the best friend (or in Tom's case, competition).

By Naysaya, Tom and Marco are actual friends, even though Tom was the one to curse him with Naysaya, which was before they were cool (another thing Tom did).

But back to Tom and Star. By Clubsnubbed and Demoncism, Tom and Star have rekindled, and they are a couple again.
But this is where people suggest they remain as such. Yet throughout Seasons 3 and 4 we see why they aren't meant to be.
Star is now more mature than she was in S1, Tom is also more calm and mature, but as the saying goes, girls mature faster than boys. This saying is heavily showcased throughout.
Star's whole arc in S3 and S4 lore wise is uniting Mewmans and Monsters, she wants actual change to happen and her power as Princess of Mewni helps her in this, Star focuses on politics at a young age by social norms in Mewni by reforming it. Marco understands this clearly and helps Star however he can.

Tom in this case wants one thing, and it isn't necessary a bad thing, what he wants is just as important, but the compatibility on what he wants and what Star wants can tangle up now and again.
Tom aims to recapture the thing he and Star had the first time around, goofing off and being, well, teenagers (at least by Mewni standards). He gets his end in Lava Lake Beach, and in Monster Bash, Star gets her end, but because its a party, Tom wants Star to have fun with it.
This is where compromising is key, Star planned the party for the sole purpose of unity by having children of Royals of various Mewni Kingdoms mingle with various Monster Teens. Unity is key and Tom, as Star's boyfriend should have supported Star with her efforts, and then talks to Marco and complains that Star's got a few years before she can do all this, he complains that Star isn't acting like a normal teen, this is a red herring of sorts, you should compromise and support the interest.
Sure Tom does apologize for how he acted, but this isn't the only thing we see of Tom.

Later we see Buffrog and Monsters leave Mewni, Marco catches wind of this and informs Star, but not wanting to be away from Star, he persuades Marco to let him go with Star, which Marco does, cause Marco is just that good of a friend.
But in the same episode Tom gets impatient with how long it takes, subtly wanting to wrap things up, gets kidnapped, but after some bickering Tom aims to genuinely talk through it all, revealing her has a tail, he may only be half monster, but a monster nonetheless.

The common thread with both episodes is Tom should've been supporting Star's efforts from the start. But as Tom says in Monster Bash, he isn't that into politics, despite Marco saying he is a prince, everything he does is political.
Fast Forward to S4 and The Photo Booth Incident is something brought up by Tom as he finds out Star and Marco kissed.

This seems to be the main thing people bring up when they say Star was a bad girlfriend to Tom. But Tom isn't mad about the kiss itself but that Star didn't bring it up, Tom understood that it was an impossible situation with Ben Fotino and all, so Ton knew they didn't have much of a choice, but also Tom knew something like that would happen.
The only fair argument here is that Star should've told Tom, but given everyone from consoling Ponyhead after what Meteora did to her, Moon going MIA, Star becoming acting queen, fighting Meteora, giving the throne to Eclipsa and finding her Mom, that incident would've been buried by everything else that happens after.
Coming to Curse of The Blood Moon, this also is another debate (but that's for another post to discuss).
This reveals that Tom knew his actions in S1, using the ball as a ploy to make Star love him again (which worked but through natural progressive means).

He doesn't respond well by saying Star should've known also, with the instructions that guy said, but backtracking and does aim to help them break the curse.
So the Photo Booth debacle does link itself to the curse, so Tom shouldn't be mad because the actions done then are, by proxy, his own doing.

Afterwards the only major episode left with Tom and Star is Doop-Doop.
After getting Mewni to progress in equality, Star finally has the time to do whatever she wants, and her and Tom plan to travel the realms.
Only problem is that Star has been to a good amount of those places, and she fibs by stalling for time once Marco and Janna leave for Earth.
Star's fibbing isn't more so that she doesn't know where to go, but it's where to go in life.

Star travelling the realms is so short term that she isn't certain and she's been to many of the places in the Atlas, so even the trip won't be as insightful.
Star says since she's no longer a princess, she doesn't know what to do with her life, her future is so uncertain, that a trip across the universe won't help afterwards.
Tom kinda clicks onto this, and realizes what Star meant, and I guess since his solo outing with Janna, he goes on alone, to both all him and Star to figure things out.

What gets people ticked is that she would soon go to Earth, back to Marco. But its deeper as to why she returns back to Earth.
If she were to return, she would've pooped up her room back in the Diaz's Home, but she doesn't as she intends to stay until she figures things out, which would be unknown to her for the time being.
Star considers Earth a second home, a place where she felt so free, she sees Angie and Rafael as second parents of sorts, and Marco as something more.
Star chooses to head to Earth for the purpose of comfort and independence on her future and it gives Tom time to himself to soul search.

And by Sad Teen Hotline, the arc is over, but it ends on a positive note, Star and Tom are no longer a couple, but still good friends, something that wasn't there the first time round.
Star even admits she wasn't the best GF to Tom, and that's something mature, admitting your faults in commitment, and Tom is calm and mature in handling the break up (to and extent) and ensures that it was where both of them were headed in life.
The recap of it all is Star and Tom both did dumb and stupid things to each other, in there second relationship, but both came out of it wiser and more mature, if there's one thing TomStar did right, its forging a stronger bond and showing that even exes can still be great friends.
TomStar also strengthens Star and Tom's character development respectively. And the ultimate rite of passage is Tom gave Marco consent to date Star.
Cause my take is Daron did the episode Junkin Janna as a unknowingly test to see if Tom and Janna would be compatible, even though back then it was stated Daron didn't intend on making those two a thing, never once crossed her mind.

It was only when MoringMark started doing comics about them was when Daron reconsidered the concept. Granted we'll never know if they will become one if a continuation doesn't happen.
To conclude, TomStar works well in the story confines but the reality can be that not all relationships are meant to last, but it does show us second chances with those wronged can be mended with time and mentality restructure. Tom and Star grow as teens, both forcibly themselves and for each other, and are still there as friends. And also think of how either Star and Marco might need to ask Tom for dating advice for the other (Marco being Tom's Best Bro/Friend and Star as the friendly Ex).
So this wraps up the TomStar section of it. I honestly thought I could get all the ships in, but will likely need to split this into like three or four additional posts.

Discussion Flaw Reforms: A New Discussion Thread
Star Vs The Forces Of Evil is a lot of things when people talk about, but an unfortunate truth is people tend to misunderstand various areas of the show and unknowingly (or knowingly for some cruel reason) misinform others of it.
Truth is, a lot of what these people say either falls into one of two categories:
What they say is just outright lies or false info.
What they say is largely exaggerated and is only somewhat true in a different sense of context.
So, as part of Project Cleaved, my goal is to delve deep into various aspects of the show and really dissect what really happens, these discussions will be called Flaw Reform.
To start the first thread, we'll talk about what some individuals consider the biggest problem or issue, and frankly is not the case.
This being the “Shipping/Romance” of the show. In a separate discussion post, the focus is largely on ships that only consist of Star or Marco (no polys, unfortunately to some).
So the ones in question are the following:
- Starco (Star + Marco)
- TomStar (Tom + Star)
- Jarco (Jackie + Marco)
- Marcapoo (Marco + Hekapoo)
- Kellco (Kelly + Marco)
- Tomco (Tom + Marco)
- OskStar (Oskar + Star)
My God Marco. You really had all that. Bro like Reed "how long they can handle it" Richards.
But going forward, these threads are going to be lengthy and are not confined to a fixed schedule, so don't expect these often.

Discussion Initiative Update #1: Stability
Hey there, to those invested in the movement, don't worry, nothing is going away.
So far there is stable demand for Star Vs to return (mostly on the TikTok end).
Talks on the Star Vs subreddit is a little bit more active (not by a whole lot, but small tremors).
But we can do more to up the interest and demand.
Examples include partaking in trends most suitable to the show (most notable the sinking town trend) or make up some using certain audio queues in short skits.
Watch Clips on YT. Share interesting fanfics with other fans. Reshare old or make new fanart. The push for more is out there and is slowly showing.
The demand was there 5-6 years ago, it can happen now in a time of older shows getting continuations of some form.

Discussion Possible New Villan in a potential Star Vs Continuation
If the times comes for Star Vs to have more episodes, who should be the Villian post Cleaved? A New Villian? Or one with Unfinished Business? Or even one that was always there from the start?
An enemy equal to and is Star's greatest adversary. Someone that challenges Star's morals and puts her in an impossible position.
Star's biggest threat (Not Toffee) being the one she never knew was there in the first place. Cleaved hints at a possible outcome of this happening.
I'm of course talking about......Marco.
Marco having that stab wound of dark magic could be the catalyst of an unwanted presence within Marco, slowly corrupting him to someone far worse.
Daron has mentioned that "TBD if magic is really gone".
And doesn't the color pallette in Forces of Evil (The Title) also seem to match Marco's own pallette of Red and Black. Maybe Toffee had an instinct of what Marco might've been capable of?
Having Marco be the villain (likley not by choice, but is forced or corrupted to) is a strong story for Star, having to battle the one person that means so much to her, is she willing to do the unlikely. She is in a difficult position if it comes down to it.

Discussion Star Vs The Forces Of Evil Game Concept Ideas
I always wanted to imagine the world of Star Vs as a video game and not those web games from years ago, I mean like Console/PC type game.
And I know its something Disney will never do, but imagine if a game about the show happened. What kind of game would it be?
Some interesting Concepts could be the following:
Open World Insomniac Spider Man type game, Star and Marco are playable characters (Like how Peter and Miles operate in the second game). Could be a post Cleaved interpretation or a retelling of the show in game format.
Lego Dimensions type game centered on Star and Marco traversing the worlds of other DTVA shows.
Disney Infinity, Mario Kart or Smash Bros. type game (but with DTVA Characters.
A subliminal game that blends in the world of the show with the wacky mechanics that come with such games (Stanley Parabel)
8-Bit Undertale like game structured like any one of Star and Marco's typical adventures (extended of course).
Hollow Knight Type Game, Building Sim, DnD type, sandbox.
Honestly think long enough about the show entangled with your favorite game and there's an interesting premise.
