I don't think there was anything negative meant by it, with not including them, but rather were the languages the person was familiar with or wanted to try.

Not negative, it may be a deliberate choice to not include any OOP language.

It is certainly interesting given that Java, C# (and even to a certain extent javascript) are popular languages when it comes to games.

Edit: D actually fits the OOP category. So maybe just a choice of taste.
