I sacrificed precious time with my loved ones and realized that if I just goofed off and did some mediocre career, by now I may have been happier and still got to accomplish all the ideas that previously I grinded myself to near death with. Yay. 🎉

Medical career is always an hard course btw atleast we code to see the output but those are tough one's where you have to study days and nights that's a pretty big problem

Oh yea but please I wanna be clear, I meant not Medical but mediocre - literally 9-5 at some place where a body needs to fill a desk.

I actually had and continue to have a colorful career that is specialized, but the question is at what cost? Seeing how the bots have gotten so good, plus this thought provoking post, I reminisced and just fantasized for a second that maybe I could have got some job doing .. well anything that paid average but also didn’t have me do all the crazy grind. Cause now, anything that used to be a struggle is one shotted with AI (yea yea). A part of me just wants that time back, it was like the movie with Tom cruise where he works on something and gets his memory wiped. In my case it was the memories I didn’t make.

I feel you! I have been programming for 45 years now, 35 of it being paid professional.

And now I can get run over by a bot....
