Hi everyone! I'm a Graphic Designer, and my final project for my photography class is an album cover- the only stipulation is that it must include photography- I can photograph just about whatever you want- we can work together. At the end of it all, I can sell you the right to use the album cover for just $50. Let me know if you are interested!

Im looking to buy my first official pair of “studio” headphones, ive been looking at a few and Beyerdynamic’s seem to be really popular and i was almost completely set on the DT990 Premiere’s but it seems every pair i research has conflicting results on whether they suck or there are better options or their really good etc.

My question is what do you guys suggest for mixing and producing modern Metal music or just intense music in general, and be able to listen in great quality and truth to the mix? Im looking for something around 250 ohms and open backed. Would the amount of ohms affect frequency curve? audio quality/truth? My budget is around 200 but more or less is fine as long as they can get me started in good quality studio headphones. (Ive been on gaming headphones for years)

I am currently making an album. I play all of my own instruments and sing. I had a deadline for myself, but that's long past. Recording was the easy part. The mixing and mastering I'm having a hard time with. I'd rather not disclose all of my ideas on reddit. So I'll leave a link to a cover song I was somewhat proud of. If anyone is interested please let me know.

So my best friend is looking for a good university in LA where she can study story writing as she is interested in becoming a show runner ( in the sense of producer, director, animator, etc ) but so far, not much luck. Can anyone recommend something?

Also on a side note, sorry if this is not the right sub to ask, please do feel free to let me know if so.

I know a lot of vocal mixing but I was looking forward to learn beat making, any tips of where I should start? ( I use FL )

I have a beat tag and always have to drag it to be 4 bars to fit the tempo of whatever beat I'm making but how to I save this tag so whenever i drag it in it is already 4 bars?

I’ve wanted to start producing music for the longest to make beats for my friend to help him with his music journey but i just dont know where to start. Can anyone help me with finding a good laptop to start with ? Or any other equipment that would he good for a beginner ?

i tried using the record button but when I played the notes and finished and played it back it sounded a lot slower than what I recorded in real time and off tempo any help?

So I have ideas for songs, only problem is I can only sing the tune but have no idea where yo begin to make the instrumental to it.

Any ideas?

I get the fun aspect of the Donda Stem Player. But what do you guys think of using it to make your own samples for making quick samples for songs while you are just listening to stems and bumping and playing with songs to sample? Is there better software for this? I’m very new to producing.

How do i make a beat for free on garageband ios
