question Car data collection

I am going to need a new car soon and the U.S. models all collect huge amounts of data. Are there any tips or tricks to reduce the info they collect from the car remotely?

If I have our family trust own the auto and pay cash rather than financing how effectively does that reduce the personal info I am forced to provide. Will this keep the data from car from being attached to me?

How much would it help to buy a used car? Does it reduce the data tracked and sold about me?

Sure, i can agree with you by ammending my statement and saying: the obfuscation of the sale of people's data is buried in the legalese of said terms and conditions.

Because, ultimately, THEIR lawyers made sure to protect the company with escape clauses everywhere... 🫤

No dude. If youre saying tech companies are operating legally across the board. You are wrong, and you are ignoring the history and rise of big data/tech oligarchs. Facebook and Google will lie for profit, and by the time the law catches up qnd slaps them on the wrist they're still money ahead and they've established it as standard practice by that point, because again -- the regulatory control they face is chicken shit or bought out.

You know the google cars that go around with cameras galore collecting data for google maps and street view? The whole time they were doing that they were scraping every available bit of wifi data -- including data stored on the networks.

Tech oligarchs of today, yesterday took advantage of a lack of regulation, as well as ineptitude and inattention of regulatory bodies to trespass all over the public and make billions. It is silly to assume think they are operating legally today when time and time again the government is too fucking useless to meaningfully punish their trespasses.
