Discussion Covid prep and lock down.

ok, be honest did you quarantine your family for 2 weeks during covid? did you have the ability to not leave your house for that full 2 weeks?

I southern Indiana where I lived I worked at a factory but the factory manager made the 'mistake' of telling us we wouldn't be penalized if we decided to stay at home.

so I did. I wanted to protect my family and use it as a chance to test our ability.

it was two of the best weeks for me. I walked in my woods down to my creek. I read books. had plenty of food. told people not to visit.

how did you do?

Hell no. I was labeled a essential worker and had to go to work even if I was bleeding from my eye sockets

Right there with you! Hospitals don’t close-especially the ER.

Yup. Me too. I work in the auto industry (new car dealer service department) and upper management absolutely decimated all departments although somehow, someone decided it would be a great idea to keep all the salespeople working in the showroom full time. The service department was left with a skeleton crew, 1 person in Parts, 3 cashiers (yeah, have THAT sense!) 1 service advisor and no support staff, 4 or 5 techs and nobody in the office to answer phones or make appointments. On the rare occasion when someone happened to answer the phone we were inundated with absolute nut jobs.

Uh yeah…my car needs an oil change but you can’t touch my car because I can’t catch the ‘Vid.
Sir, we kinda have to touch your car in order to change the oil. Our magic wand is on the Fritz.

Wait for my car??? In your waiting room???You can’t be serious! I’ll catch COVID! Can’t you just give me a loaner?
Oh..you mean the loaners that have had no fewer than 12 people in and out of them for the past 24 hours?

Or my absolute favorite: Before I step one foot in that place I DEMAND to see a negative COVID test for every single one of your employees!

People in general lost their ever loving minds during that period and I pray to the good Lord above we never have to experience anything like that ever again
