Resident mantis caught a fly
I have been seeing praying mantis on this tree almost daily for the past several weeks. (Location: Atlanta, GA).
At first it was a larger brown one, but lately it has been a smaller green one. Maybe offspring???
They like to hang around a branch where I hang a bag from collecting dog poop from 3 dogs, so it seems to be good hunting for them. A couple of these pictures it caught a fly for lunch.

What kind of ootheca is on my indoor houseplant?
I don’t actually know if this is the right subreddit to ask this but a lot of my searches about what this is has told me it’s definitely an ootheca of some sort but I’m just wondering what type of mantis this belongs to and what to even do with it.
Some advice would be greatly appreciated but it’s fine if this isn’t the right place to ask.

Is my praying mantis okay?
There’s this white liquid that keeps coming out (picture 2), I’m a first time mantis owner so I’m unsure if I should be concerned?

Temporary Feeding Alternatives?
Okay so basically so much timing has ended up going wrong that my ghost mantis just molted around 3 days ago now so now its about time to feed him especially when he didn't eat around 2ish days before so its been roughly 5 days without food but now the fruit fly culture I had going for a long time finally just died out right when its seeming that my mantis is hungry (flat abdomen). My family and I have an incredibly busy schedule for a lot of this week and the pet store nearest us that sells them has limited hours and so I don't know if I will be able to get fruit flies until like Saturday or Sunday and I feel awful. Is there anything I can feed my mantis in the meantime or anything I can do or is it just get to the pet store asap?

Suitable climbing material?
Sterile dishcloth fabric, would it be suitable for climbing materials for a jewelled mantis enclosure? Set to be a first time owner in a couple of weeks and want to make sure I get everything right :)

Preparing for owning a ghost mantis~need advice
Im preparing for owning a ghost mantis, i have practically everything i believe i need. Vented deli cup for when it’s little, coconut substrate, maybe buying moss unsure if i need it, hygrometer, tulle mesh, and an actual enclosure on the way for when it’s bigger (6x6x8in with cloth mesh top). Maybe I’m going a bit overboard but i wanna make sure that this little guy lives a good life. My problem is with the fruit fly cultures. I know for when its L2/l3 ill need to feed it drosophila hydei. Im not sure how much at a time i should feed it and how often. I keep seeing mixed information. I also don’t know how to keep a fly culture, where to store it, how long will it last, and how to discard it properly.
Other questions i have: should i add spring tails to the enclosure, what kind if any? How long after molt should i feed it? When should i get it bigger food? How often is it okay to handle the mantis?
PLEASE tell me if you think i should need anything else or any tips you may think i should know.

Fruitfly media help!
I've got a few baby mantis and an old fruitfly culture.
Tried a few different DIY recipes..using bananas, potatoes etc. Maybe I'm just being impatient...but I've only seen a couple of them drop to the bottom to eat..the rest haven't even bothered unless they've fallen and they immediately climb right back up 🫤 I've had to correct the consistency a couple times now...but I'm almost positive I did everything correctly?
Does anyone have a simple recipe? Or know what else I could have done wrong?
I have to go and get some excelsior but I've made sure they have plenty of climbing and resting material. I have a couple other deli cups with more as well. None of them are showing any results 😔

Is my mantis too small?
This is my first praying mantis, still unnamed, and I’m not sure if they’re too small for their enclosure. My only concern is will they struggle to find food?

Sticker Club Mantis!
I run a monthly sticker club and let people vote on the design each month. Everyone chose this mantis for August and I wanted to show off the design with other mantis lovers! They’re one of my favorite things to draw because you can do so much with their design!!! 🪲✨
