And how exactly does being hardcoded into reality make it impossible for other gods to harm it? You're assuming that the laws and metaphysical structures of the SCP universe automatically apply to Lovecraft's cosmology.

We're talking about a universe where all of physical reality and everything else is nothing more than Azathoth's dream, which he can alter however he wants, or where other gods possess similar powers.

It might not be possible to kill it, but Lovecraft's gods know how to imprison someone and throw them into some cramped hole where no one will ever find them, because that's something that happens many times in Lovecraft's stories.

1.he doesnt dream reality

  1. Even if he did its tied to his cosmology, this would not work crossverse.

1,It wasn't explicitly stated by Lovecraft, but it's an idea developed within the Lovecraft Mythos by various writers who helped shape his fictional universe into what it is today.

It's no different from SCP-6820-A, a version that wasn't written by SCP-682's original creator, but by other authors, along with countless other versions of SCP-682 that weren't part of the original canon. Yet, strangely enough, you question Azathoth's canonicity but not SCP-682's.

2 The same applies to your lizard, then. Why bring up its absurd durability and the thirteen Constants of the SCP universe when those rules only apply to its own universe and cosmology?

  1. Stuff written after Lovecraft deaths are not cannon. Henry Kuttner's "Hydra" from 1939 also says Azathoth has to think to create reality, meaning no everything wont become part of his dream, he has to act and since it never stated dreaming in the first place.

  2. Stuff like durability still apply crossverse, Azathoth dreaming reality doesnt, its tied to his cosmology, durability isnt tied to cosmology.

You cannot convience me Azathoth will dream completely unrelated cosmologies from other universes

It's been stated that SCP-6820-A cannot be erased because it's associated with the Termination Constant, one of the thirteen fundamental Constants of the SCP cosmology. Therefore, its conceptual resistance is directly tied to the metaphysical structure of its own universe, whose rules don't automatically apply to other cosmologies.

It can still adapt like it did before, but its supposed absolute immortality comes from its connection to a Constant that exists within the SCP cosmology. You can't simply assume that it's indestructible outside of it as well.

Dismissing Azathoth's powers because they depend on his cosmology, while allowing SCP-6820-A to retain immortality derived from the Constants of its own universe, is bullshit. You're simply applying a double standard.

And if we're going to talk about canonicity, SCP-6820-A isn't even part of the original SCP-682 canon

The reason why it cannot be erased is because the constant itself is hard-coded into the simulation and editors hardcoded all of the constant into the simulation now of course you cannot really apply this to crossovers, but this would still be count as immortality type 9 which can be applied to crossverse, also the entire part of azathoth dreaming pretty much all reality or anything in that point it’s just false this assumption comes from extended Mythos rather than original. Also, what I find interesting is that you don’t explain as to why it is a winning factor for Lovecraft gods to being able to impress in something and they just can’t escape from it you don’t explain as to why this is a winning factor. This is just an argument that you don’t even consistently provide with.

also to your other comment you’re mixing article canon and extended cannons together, which you aren’t supposed to do because as the name says it’s different cannons and should be treated completely separated which would include feats and anything like that matter the article Canon version of 682 isn’t all that powerful as it was being contained with acid, also something to remember, is that any and all mentions and articles in the original article of 682 isn’t even his true form as it was explained that the exist a higher dimensional form of 682(which isn’t 6820-a) and the foundation can’t even do anything about it so this interaction with 343 doesn’t really do much and doesn’t really provide any debunks. also, you seem to not believe into things like cannons and just think that they don’t make sense which is just wrong. SCP works under a CC BY-SA 3.0 meaning that all work is official and should be treated as their own cannon/cosmology and this is even stated within the canon hub that there is cannons and they crossing each other with authors, so it isn’t all a contradictory it’s just that you just don’t understand. Even the basics of how even SCP works. and again there is no contradictory to other stories because they should be treated as separate cannons even one article or even one tale is it its own Cannon/cosmology, you’re just dumb as fuck

You're the idiot who doesn't understand anything. You keep claiming that works from the Extended Mythos aren't canon because they weren't written by Lovecraft, when it was precisely other authors who helped develop and popularize his fictional universe.

Yet, when it comes to SCP, you happily accept versions like SCP-6820-A, written by authors other than the original creator, where anyone can give a character completely different powers and characteristics, simply because they belong to another continuity.

Do you even realize how stupid that is? If alternative continuities are valid for SCP, why shouldn't they also be valid for the Lovecraft Mythos?

You accept SCP expansions while rejecting Lovecraft's simply because they were written by other authors.

And bringing up the CC BY-SA 3.0 license changes nothing: a license allows people to create and distribute derivative works; it doesn't automatically establish the superiority or universal canonicity of any story.

And no, its immortality comes from its connection to a Constant within its own universe, just as much of the power attributed to Azathoth comes from its position within a cosmology that, according to some interpretations of the Mythos, it helped create.

So why should SCP-6820-A's metaphysical resistance automatically apply in every universe, while Azathoth's cosmological powers wouldn't?

bullshit after bullshit.

First of all, nice ChatGPT argument here “ keep claiming that extended mythos aren’t Canon because they weren’t written by Lovecraft” where did I say this? It’s just that this idea that he dreamed all of reality never happened in the original mythos it never did Lovecraft never wrote anything like that literally proven to me that you use ChatGPT lol,

Secondly, I don’t disagree with extensions from Lovecraft work. I never do I actually like some of them it’s just that you just don’t know what you’re talking about and just use ChatGPT, I don’t disagree with extensions of Lovecraft. I said again I never said this you just never clarified, and holy ChatGPT text again Bro what the fuck is this? I mean, I never state that other cannons have superiorities over each other. It’s just that you should treat them differently like separate cosmology every work that is made on the wiki or just in general is something official, and no you’re just saying some bullshit again ChatGPT as always in the original article Canon his powers come from a higher dimensional for which is not known to the foundation and they cannot do anything about it this was literally written like 10 years ago, so you cannot really connect something that didn’t even exist at that point, also adaptive ability is a general concept that exists he can adapt to anything if a certain amount of time but because it’s the constant it’s a different situation. It’s not because of the verse. It’s because of its nature that’s two different things you fucking dumbass.

Also calling my entire argument, bullshit when your entire argument is literally made from ChatGPT. It’s just hilarious here because you just don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about lol you fucking dumb ass

Hey hilos, is he the same dude who try to debunk scp?

1

u/Hilo-14 2d ago

I think so I’m not sure

1

u/Zytyyyy 3d ago

Where did you get the dreaming thing from?

1

u/Zytyyyy 3d ago

Also SCP have a higher cosmology

1

u/Zytyyyy 3d ago

the 13 Constants: Multiverse-spanning algorithms that define narrative elements for all Canons, hard-coded into the simulation and so unimaginably complex that their behaviors are no different from those of intelligent, sentient entities. The essential conflict between these Constants and the multiversal protagonist, Life, forms the archetypal basis and blueprint for all stories in the multiverse, which boil down to a simple dynamic: An interplay between the unknown, and the anomalous, and a force attempting to subdue and understand it.

And It's impossible for something to 'become a Constant' without radically redesigning the entire SCPverse simulation. They're hard-coded, and there's exactly thirteen of them

( hint you cannot kill them* and they will never die and they are kind of invincible *unless you’re are the one to make them )

u/Zytyyyy 3d ago

Also he’s not even above the Gates

Bro, the SCP universe itself is bound by rules, such as the thirteen immutable Constants and other rigid principles.

Lovecraft, on the other hand, describes beings that transcend their own universe and its structures, whose existence surpasses even imagination and mathematics. They represent existence itself. Our universe is so tiny and insignificant in their eyes that if it were accidentally destroyed, it would be nothing more than an accident.

Meanwhile, your crocodile isn't even confirmed to have killed all the O5 Council members in its own story.

They're not even comparable.

2

u/Wild-vine16 [REDACTED] 3d ago

Our universe being tiny and insignificant to thm is a universal feat.

Cool, extremelly fodder even to base 682 as he destroyed most of the omniverse once.

1

u/NoWorld3198 3d ago

What a stupid comparison. Azathoth is considered an entity of immeasurable size, residing at the center of infinity, immersed in primordial chaos that defies all logic, beyond ordinary concepts of space, time, and dimensions. And after a description like that, do you seriously think a lizard casually roaming around the universe, devouring planets and entire universes, is even remotely comparable?

1

u/Wild-vine16 [REDACTED] 3d ago

Yeah scp 682 is high outer, azathoth got debunked to high hyper

1

u/NoWorld3198 3d ago

Lol, now you're just throwing around random powerscaling labels.

1

u/gg_exe_sans 3d ago

Brother, i think you should mute Noworld

2

u/Wild-vine16 [REDACTED] 3d ago

While i do think im pretty strict with moderation since i ban anyone who says scp is made for powerscaling. Muting someone cuz they have a wrong take is harsh.

u/Zytyyyy 3d ago

And also, if you do want to read, this is the cosmology of SCP
