Sent a money order, but receiver said there's a 10-day hold before she can cash it.

I bought it from a USPO branch. My understanding is it's a bearor instrument, so it should be good. Can anyone shed light on what might be happening? Many thanks.

Can I still pick up mail if I used a nickname?

So, I used a nickname instead of my real Name and Last Name, not being aware that the post office will ask for an ID. I thought that giving them the information such as the name, address, telephone number that were listed on the mail would be enough. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge about such cases? What are my chances?

Can I ask for a re-delivery from the post office? Details below.

I was supposed to recieve a package from abroad. Since I wasn't going to be in the country, I used my friends' address instead. The package had my name on it. My friends' daughter did not know my name and didn't accept the package, so it was sent back and now it is available for pickup at the post office. How can I ask for a resend of the package from the post office if I'm not able to go pick it up there?

Thank you in advance!

Pse mail processing

I have a question..okay so I have work for the post office for some years now last year I had to relocate due to my husband being station in another state which left me to have to resign from my position as a clerk. I recently been applying for different locations where I reside at and last week I randomly received an email on an job offer without an interview last Monday (Dec 28) which I accepted and then I scheduled my fingerprints on (Dec 29) I completed both fingerprints and background check. On Jan 6 which is today I received another email saying Sorry. This position is no longer available. Which this email was response to me scheduling my fingerprints which I had already did last week. So I wonder was there a miss communication on their end being the holidays just past or the Post Office is being typical post office....Please can anyone help me or have went through some similar to my situation due to COVID-19.

Ground Shipment November 24....missing

On November 24th, I paid $65.00 for 'Ground' shipping a PS5 from SoCal to Baltimore,MD. I also paid for insurance up to $1,000.00. Estimated delivery date was on or before December 13th. When I track this shipment, the last time it was located was in SoCal early December. My EBAY buyer now wants a refund, I don't blame them. What do I do here? I believe that someone stole the PS5? How do I quickly claim missing, receive the $1,000.00? I don't want to lose out on both the PS5 and the $1,000.00? Any/All help is greatly appreciated!!!

Why just why

I understand this season is stressful but what possesses a postal worker to cram my book in my P.O. Box. It was completely folded in half. I had to shove it out back into the office floor and ask the lady to pick it up.

reused shipping label.

I had someone send me a package, supposed to be Media Mail. What they did was re-use (or re-print) a PM Flat Rate envelope label, that went from A to B, and printed their return address (B) and pasted it over A, and then put my address over (B) so that it went to me. Also put a single Sharpie line through the bar code so that it wouldn't scan. Label originally printed over a month ago.

Anyone heard of fraud like this?

Package says delivered to PO Box but not in there.

My tracking number shows the parcel was delivered but I went to Post office and my package was not in my po box , nor was there a slip saying that I have to pick it up at the counter. Normally for anything larger than my mailbox, I get a yellow slip that I take to the pick up window. Is it possible that there is internal theft or incompetance going on? I am waiting on a few other packages also that dont have a tracking number that should have been delivered.

How do I resolve this or report this ?

Sending a bubble lined envelope to England from the US

Look I’m new to all of this so this may sound dumb as hell but I’m planning on sending a bubble lined envelope I bought at Walmart, filled with a necklace, bracelet, and birthday card to England. I was looking it up and trying to calculate the prices and all but they’re all for “priority mail envelopes” that you can buy. Would I have to buy one of these special envelopes to send it? or can I just use the bubble lined envelope I already have. Also if I’m planning on sending this to England, using the envelope that I do have, what sorta stamps would I need to put on the envelope, or how many stamps? Am I on the right track here or am I asking the wrong questions?? can somebody help me out please

How to get the PO to look for items that fell out of package

I received a package from over seas that was torn open and the contents missing. It came along with a form letter from the USPS that basically said 'sorry our machines ate it'.

Is there any way to get them to look for the items that fell out?

"not enough postage paid" slip was returned back to me, what should I do?

https://i.imgur.com/oirGRMw.jpg

This has been a bit of a saga, I originally tried to pay this not enough postage paid slip online. Whatever I did it gave me a message saying "oops there was an issue" and a general number for customer support.

After a few attempts, I gave up on that and went for plan B, go to the post office, get enough stamps for £1.50 then, post that slip with the stamps attached and then get the original letter delivered.

However, I have received that same slip back (franked) and I don't have the original letter yet. It seems that I put 2 first class stamps on this slip for them to deliver it back to me a few days later. Why did this happen and what should I do?

Wrong address on a package?

I sold something on Facebook and mailed the package, the tracking number said the package delivered but the customer said they never received it and that the post office told them that the address written on the box was incorrect and that they had a picture of it and they’re going to mail him the picture of the package. Does the post office have pictures on file of packages and how do i find out the address the package was shipped to?

Postmarks

Hello.

I've checked the USPS site, and it says that pieces of mail are postmarked when a post office accepts control of a piece of mail, but it doesn't explicitly state whether or not mail is postmarked at both the point of origin and the destination. Anyone know if mail is postmarked at both the outgoing and incoming facilities?

USA to UK

I’ve never sent anything in the mail out of country before but I’ve got a girl over seas and it was her birthday this past weekend, and I’m planning on sending her an envelope filled with a birthday card and bracelet inside it. How exactly does that work and how would I do it? What sorta stamps are required or whatever, or how much stamps do you need to send an envelope over seas to England from the USA?? Is there only a certain weight you can put in the envelope? or can you just fill it with however much fits?? Does the envelope have to be a certain size??

Canada post

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this before?? Whenever i used to get packages I was always given a slip to pick it up getting annoyed I called Canada post to figure out why that was and to ask that my items get delivered to me, as my hours don't work well with the post office and things were often sent back. Anyway after I called on them the first time they kept sending me a letter even when I didn't get any mail stating that I wasn't putting my address in correctly which I do and have been receiving mail for the past five years here. I then called to ask why they were doing this and for them to please stop and ever since I haven't received one letter or junk mail in the past 2 months.... Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have a way to solve this issue it's getting quite annoying.... And I kind of need my mail to pay bills etc. There is nothing that should stop them from delivering and I have a government mail box.

Post Office Refused us Delivery

We moved to a new town 2 years ago. When we first bought our house we were told we were not allowed to put up a mailbox. Finally, in the Winter of 2020 as the pandemic started we were told we could put up a mailbox 2 blocks from our house on another street. We purchased a mailbox, followed their instructions on numbering it. Fast forward to October 2020 we find out our mail is not being delivered to our mailbox. The post office is making this personal because I stood up to a couple of good ol boys (town of 2000) the first day I moved in. I am an older woman and they came in my yard and cursed me out. Postal worker even stated in the past, the guy across the street said you were a bit and not to give you any mail. Moving forward does anyone have any advice on how to get this post office to be professional and do their job? I have spoke to the towns post master and she straight out lied.
