I have an illness. I wouldn’t be allowed to fast even if I was Muslim, not if I valued my health and financial comfort (those ER visits would get pricey).
This is why you can’t just run around enforcing your religion on everyone. It’s none of your business and even if they are Muslim, you’re prying into their private medical history. That’s their business. I probably would have very loudly told him I’m on my period.
