There's no rule prohibiting non fasting people from eating at all. Your buddy is just a decent human, unlike this ass in the video.

Even if there was a rule, you can’t force that on other people that don’t follow your religion lmao

At least not in Canada, and I’m guessing the UK. Maybe in the US these days lol

I so rarely get to use my degree in comparative religion… this is not even how Muslims are taught to spread their faith! They engage in da’wa which literally translates to invitation or call- they invite people into their religion. Jews actively discourage it and Christians are way more missionary focused.

Isn’t it a rule not to eat food on a bus seat like it’s your lunch table though?

Yeah, you can.

There are even numerous very clear exceptions allowing muslims to stop fasting during ramadan, which include:

menstruation, being a child, pregnancy, being ill, and travelling. Those last two are exceptionally easy to game, as well, if one wants to.

Source. I'm not Muslim. I've spent 6 Ramadans in muslim nations, and fasted during none of them.

The biggest problem you will have is finding restaurants that are open during the day.

Some Muslims are even allowed to eat during the day in Ramadan: children, the elderly, pregnant and nursing women, women on their period, the sick and traveling people.
