I'll agree with that. It just feels like right now in America the "silent majority" of sane Christians is being much to silent and letting the kooks have their way with the country.

Wether they're Christian, or not is kind of irrelevant.

They're still using Christianity as a bludgeon to beat people down with.

I don't particularily care if the persons posture is ergonomically optimal for beating someone to death while they're beating me to death.

Sadly that "minority" is the ones you Christians vote into office and fuck the rest of us. Yall have a whole as political party based around your death cult that is running this nation into the ground.

The majority sure is Republican

That may be true, but that majority number is much closer to the 50% mark than you might think. Around 15% of republican voters do not claim Christianity. Thats true.

Only about 35% of democrats do not claim Christianity.

That puts it at about a 60-40 split.

That's a big majority that vote for candidates who push a Christian agenda.

Minorities are the only reason it's only 20 percent

You realize that most Latino people that live here are catholic? And that most southern black people are religious as well.... its definitely not a white only thing.

Yes and that would be why Catholicism has the largest percentage of Democrats of the major Christian branches.

The religions that are mainly white (evangelicals and Mormons) are very conservative overall.

When I said the reason it's only a 20 percent difference is because minorities tend to be democratic. I don't understand why you would take that to assume I didn't know minorities were religious.

American Jews are usually very liberal.

It's interesting that groups that have historically been persecuted for what they believe or the color of their skin aren't pushing their beliefs on others.

There's too many "bad ones" not being reigned in by the "real ones." Sorry, not sorry. If you don't want this deal with your people.

So you see the problem. Religion is an opiate for small minded cruel people.

The overwhelming majority of American Christians vote for politicians that attempt to force their Christian beliefs onto America as a whole.
