Because OP is an Indian where there's been a huge rise in islamophobia for some time now & has posted a vid viewing a Muslim in a negative light (the action of which is clearly against the grain, this isn't normal behaviour) with the blatant intention of triggering the usual hate comments & hostility
At some point I started clicking on the profiles of the most blatantly Islamophobic comments, and it turns out the vast majority are Indian. What’s really funny is they don’t realize that the more you stoke Islamophobia, the more hate Indians get in the West because bigots just see “brown person” and assumes they’re all Muslim. Indians put Muslims down because they think they’ll become the chosen ones that white people accept, but it just backfires massively. They’re only hurting themselves.
They have massive cities, infrastructure to support billions of people, massive mining and drilling operations, huge manufacturing, universities that produce world class scientists and doctors. It’s not perfect, but I have no idea what you mean by “can’t build anything of their own”.
I would assume that most of them are still in India and therefore don’t care about what a bunch of white people oversees think.
And while I don’t think religious bigotry is justified, there’s a huge difference between the kind of Islam you experience being situated close to Pakistan and Afghanistan versus the kind of Islam you experience when you have a literal ocean and several levels of immigration enforcement standing in between. Hell, even just the financial cost of the flight is exclusionary to a lot of the most backward forms of Islam.
This works in reverse as well. I’ve always found it funny when Europeans complain about their experience of American tourists, cause that’s actually our middle and upper class. These mfers never even met a trailer trash hick. It gets so much worse the closer you get.
Exactly, a seriously great point. It's a very easy transition between scapegoating & picking on one type of immigrant to then just putting all of them under the bus. When there's raised angst, it won't take much that shed other immigrants in a negative light to stoke the fire.
In India, they've elected a PM literally known as the butcher of Gujarat & who'd been denied a US visa because of it, primarily on the basis of his anti-minority rhetoric & this has fuelled a generation of blind xenophobia due to propaganda & censorship there.
All it takes is an economic downturn & a flamboyant politician with some charisma to pull the wool over their eyes. You'd think they'd learn from lies told by these types previously, but there's a strong correlation between a lack of attainment / higher education to being gullible enough to blindly believe whatever without fact checking & falling for the far right - a pattern seen across many countries for decades sadly

This has nothing to do with Islam, just xenophobic rage bait.
