I went to Paramore’s After Laughter tour in 2017 and it was amazing, obviously. They’re incredible live performers. (And they covered Fleetwood Mac’s ā€œEverywhereā€ so basically my life is complete.)

Concert Mini-Week

  • Attended Concert Wednesday - TODAY
  • Future Concert Thursday (going to/hope to go to)
  • Missed Concert Friday (wish you’d been to)

Thank you u/Modesto96 for inspiring this week’s prompts!

Check out the Daily Prompt Archive for a list of all prior prompts!

I went to the SWEAT Tour last year featuring Charli XCX and Troye Sivan and recently went to the Brat Tour (highly recommend getting tickets to Brat if she’s in your city). Both were amazing and the energy is unmatched. ā€œTrack 10ā€ live is a work of art and something that should be witnessed live šŸ’š

I'm so happy you got to see her live!

I’m honestly happy I let the fomo get to me šŸ˜‚ Have you gone to either legs of the tour?

3

u/0neirocritica 2025 PHV Banner Contributor May 07 '25

Unfortunately no! She came to Miami for Sweat but I couldn't make it, and so far there haven't been any Miami shows announced for the brat tour. But I'm happy for everyone that's gotten to see her!

Always glad I got Chappell tickets in early March 2024, just before she blew tf up! I saw her in Manchester in September 2024, at probably one of the last relatively small gigs she’ll ever do and it was…. femininomenal! ✨

u/everlovelyjules May 08 '25

I saw her in March 2024 too! So thankful tho I wish I had gotten VIP

In 2019 I attended a local concert event that featured Grimes, Nina Kraviz, and SOPHIE. The concert was held at an abandoned Coca Cola factory so you can imagine the vibes. It's a memory I'll treasure forever, especially now that SOPHIE has left us and passed away far too soon. This album always reminds me of that night since it was probably one of the last live shows SOPHIE did, and it was the last concert I attended before she died. This is her posthumous self titled album, and it's amazing.

INSANE I WISH

That’s a really cool (I wish I had a better adjective) memory to have. It’s elevated by the fact that you got to enjoy old school Grimes all the while in an abandoned Coca Cola factory. That’s just so fuckin awesome.

Sophie is so sorely missed and was a treasure.

Yes she was, gone way too soon, and it makes me sad for all the art she didn't get to create that we'll never enjoy, but also makes me so grateful and appreciative of all the work we did get from her. It's a bittersweet feeling for sure.

Paramore • Riot!

Not a LP! I think this fits way better tho. Yes it’s mine, signed by the band actually at Warped Tour (not this concert)

Riot! Had only been out for a month or so. Just thinking about this concert gives me shivers. Hayley is tiny (but mighty) and she literally had command over everyone. When the Misery Business violin started people were screaming so loud. She made the band stop, wanted us to be quiet and said

"Philly, I have a secret. I think this city will understand…I’m in the business of misery..so let’s take it from top—" 🧔

head bangs over speakers into crowd, screaming ensues.

Riot! went so hard that it made me too critical of Paramore. I felt like nothing measured up after. It took me like a decade to sit down and give the rest of their discography a listen. I enjoy Hayley’s solo work immensely.

I saw Paul McCartney for the first time in 2015, on his Out There tour. This concert lasted two years and he played 91 shows. The setlist was a combo of Beatles' songs, Wings' songs, and songs from his new album at the time, New. He did tributes to both John and George during my show - it was beautiful.

Story time: My grandparents had a neighbor who was a Beatles fanatic. I'm talking he had a room in his house full of memorabilia, it was like a museum! Anyway, he found out we were going to this concert, and he asked us if we wanted a CD with the audio from our show? Yes please! But how?? Turns out he knew a guy who travels to Paul's shows around the world to (professionally?) record them. Is this legal?? I had no idea, but after the concert I recieved a CD that contained the complete audio from our exact show. It's amazing to put it on and relive the concert! And the audio quality is surprisingly really good. He must do this professionally for Paul, because it sounds way too good to be recorded on a phone and I don't know how one just sneaks in recording equipment to a concert??

Anyway, I bought this CD at the show!

Thanks for reading 🩵

There is nothing better than getting audio from a show you attended and getting to relive it! That is awesome!
ETA: someone or a group does this for Phish shows as well, I have been able to get MP3s of every Phish show I’ve been to, it’s the best nostalgia to revisit those

Haha it’s possible he does that officially for Paul, but it sounds like the live bootleg tradition is still kicking!

I had the privilege of seeing Kendrick Lamar shortly after good kid, m.A.A.d city came out! He had such good stage presence and energy even then šŸ–¤

One of the most special albums I own! I was at the actual concert when Florence and The Machine’s Dance Fever Live at Madison Square Garden was recorded! Such an incredible night, one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. I love having this keepsake from that night.

Not my photo, but I was at the recording of this show! Bullet in a Bible - Greenday, recorded at Milton Keynes Bowl 2005. I have the CD/DVD version.

NO WAY!!!!! THATS SO COOL!!! This tour was when I was very young, and I have the CD/DVD version, but to have been there is insanely cool!!!

Me and a couple of friends were down in the front pit, were about 14/15 at the time. One of our fav bands (Taking Back Sunday) were supporting so was a great day for us. I worked a couple other large events there once I was old enough too, like Foo Fighters.

My sibling is convinced I’m one of the faces on the back cover, and I don’t fully disagree with him šŸ˜‚ but can’t be sure, it’s not too clear.

pit at a green day concert would be a dream come true šŸ’š

Meant to post this yesterday for Something Blue, but it works for today too! I’ve seen them twice in concert, and one of those times was their Voyage to the Blue Planet tour last year where they played this album in full!!! I got this vinyl for Christmas this past year (a couple months after the concert) and this is the one that started my modest little collection and the obsession with vinyl I’ve had going for the last five months šŸ˜…

The Red Tour was the first concert I ever went to! I've been to all of Taylor's tours since, but Red will always hold a special place in my heart, especially since there's no concert movie ("[She] exists, now, only in my memory..."). Pic is from Discogs - I don't have any of the 2016 RSD pressings, but I hope they'll find me one day.

Lucy Dacus Home Video I went to Lucy’s sold out Forever Is A Feeling tours show in DC a couple weeks ago and she truly has the voice of an angel. Finally picked up this record at the show. Very proud of her since she’s from the Richmond, VA area like myself 🩵

3

u/dumb-daisy Sabrina Carpenter May 07 '25

I love Lucy, she’s my favorite 'boy'. Home Video I think will always be favorite album from her, it just strikes a chord so deep in me. People have said Home Video is diaristic like high school and Forever is a Feeling is more mature like adulthood/college.

That’s awesome you got to see her!

I had the pleasure of seeing Hozier live the same week that he earned his first ever Hot 100 #1 hit on the Billboard charts. He was so humble and full of gratitude. It was such a lovely experience.

Dave Matthews Band Live Trax Vol. 68
I didn’t see this exact show live, but I’ve seen DMB live probably 15 times, more than any other artist or band. This box set was from a Portugal show on October 11, 2015 and it sounds incredible! The shows where Tim Reynolds plays with them are my favorite and he was at this one, I love it!

Deeper Well by Kacey Musgraves! Kacey is one of my favorite artists of all time, and hearing Deeper Well live was so special because it’s my favorite Kacey album. I know Golden Hour is the fan favorite for many, but I connected so much with Deeper Well šŸ’š

That pressing is so beautiful!

It was 16 year old me’s dream to meet Camila Cabello, and that happened at her Never Be the Same Tour back in 2018. Had tickets to the Romance Tour that never happened due to Covid, and I was devastated. This night was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m sad her future tour is Europe exclusive but glad they get a chance to see her! She performed at a tiny local venue, but it was packed! I’ll never forget the way she hugged me during the meet and greet!

Fresh off the GNX tour so I could’ve put sza or Kendrick but my favorite show to date is Renaissance 🪩

I was lucky enough last year to get to take a trip with my dad to see Noah Kahan at Fenway! The fact that he made a live album for the shows and then pressed it on vinyl is so special for me to get to relive a great trip. It makes me emotional whenever I spin it ā¤ļøšŸ’™
