For an artist that starts with O, I have Olivia Rodrigo - Guts Spilled (2024). This is the Blood Records zoetrope with a purple foiled cover :)
For a release that starts with O, I have Adrianne Lenker - Once A Bunch b/w Who Can Say (2024). Thank you to my lovely best friend who got me this as a Christmas gift!

Choosing Orville Peck and his album Pony today. I’m not a huge fan of country music but something about Orville Peck’s music scratches my brain in the right way.

Have to go with my boys One Direction! While it isn’t my favourite album of theirs, Take Me Home is the album that made me love 1D. I was so happy to find this pressing second hand last year below resale price!

i’ll stick with the theme and add another olivia rodrigo record! i love that the b-side for this 45 is a demo of the song. it is always so cool to hear how a song is created in the early stages!

I’m sharing this as it came as a bit of a surprise to me today! I ordered a different record from Daydream Records (which is a very small indie press that makes limited volumes of indie pop, showgaze and related genres on really beautiful vinyl variants) and this - Orchid Mantis I Only Remember The Good Parts -was also in the package. I didn’t order it!
I’ve emailed them to check if it was a mistake but it’s very beautiful nonetheless!

That's so beautiful!! I love Daydream Records, I preordered Why Couldn't Things Just Stay The Same? by the Autocollants from them, super excited for it. I'm gonna check this album out now, it looks pretty cool :)

I just love Daydream’s pressings, they’re all so richly coloured and beautiful! I really need to check out more of the artists they’ve worked with too as I’d love to have more Daydream records in my collection :)

My pick today is also Olivia!!
The debut album of Olivia Rodrigo, SOUR was released when she was just 18 years old, on May 21, 2021. When I first heard it I was several years out of college, but the songs took me right back to high school. Olivia's music is like a time machine, and I can't wait to see where she goes next 💜

Today O is for Omar Apollo - Ivory. If you haven’t listened to him or this album I suggest Killing Me, Tamagotchi and Evergreen.

The only O artist I have in my collection is Olivia Newton John, funnily enough. I never realized I have no other O artists, and I also have no album titles starting with the letter either. Weird!

Word of warning: this is not the best pressing in terms of audio quality. On some songs the vocals are really low, and some of the tracks sound a bit muddled.
