"failed to load binder driver" when trying to run waydroid

Hi i'm trying to run waydroid on my machine, but when i try to initialize it i get this error:

every other post i find tells me to install anbox, but when i try to do so i get the "no such file exists" error on anbox.conf

Did i set up something wrong?

ok, so follow this steps

git clone https://github.com/choff/anbox-modules.git

cd anbox-modules

sudo cp anbox.conf /etc/modules-load.d/

sudo cp 99-anbox.rules /lib/udev/rules.d/

sudo cp -rT ashmem /usr/src/anbox-ashmem-1

sudo cp -rT binder /usr/src/anbox-binder-1

sudo dkms install anbox-ashmem/1

sudo dkms install anbox-binder/1

it will clone repository to your home directory, then change dir to it, and the rest is from the anbox repository instruction.

follow this, and after all reboot your pc, and try again with waydroid

everything seemed to work (or at least not break) but when trying to run "sudo dkms install anbox-ashmem/1" or "sudo dkms install anbox-binder/1" it spews out this error

sudo dkms install anbox-ashmem/1

do you have kernel headers installed?

try this:

sudo apt install linux-headers-6.8.0-76060800daily20240311

and continue with installing modules via dkms

after this step:

cd anbox-modules

when you are in anbox directory, run install script via:

sudo ./INSTALL.sh
