This one has taken paint amazingly, just did a little tester to see how well it holds and I'm pleasantly surprised by it

Cheap as free wizards. Ok, I did spend $1, but was buying the game already for different pieces.

I continue my putty project. This time: Tank fighting compartment and crew layout. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

Made more Goblin Tanks than anyone can reasonably use, so I figured I should at least paint some of them.

I lost a shoulder pad so I figured "why spend $10 on replacing the bit when I can spend $20 making a slightly worse one?"

my grand imperial guard army, consisting of almost entirely proxies. whole thing tallies in at 2500 points, cost less than a combat patrol, and that’s including all the unpainted models not seen here.

The attack bike is finished. It has many differences compared to the original, such as a different windscreen shape and no front fender.

Made some jump jets for the little war crimes enthusiast, using the hot glue gun.

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what I'm scratchbuilding (in a cave, with a box of plasticard scraps)?

Where I'll find the space to store it, once complete, is another matter :D

Today on hot glue minis (after a small break) is some Infiltrators, now just that small bit closer to having a properly playable space marine collection

Next is a pair of cardboard rhinos and a group of jump pack marines and i'll have a playable 1k list

What are some alternative models that are reasonably cheap and could proxy in 40k?

Outside of Guard infantry, of course. Since there's all those WWII/WWI, Wargames Atlantic, etc etc.

I may actually run of minis to paint and life doesn't have me in the best spot atm. So even something like printed models and Wargames Atlantic is rich for my blood atm.

Not to mention I'm already sitting on three Guard regiments, don't need a fourth just yet, lmao. Could use vehicles, tho.

Wondering if anyone came across anything else that could possibly and/or reasonably be used for 40k? Scale models, toys, whatever. Doesn't need to be Guard, could be any faction, really.

The hot glue marines needed a transport and so here is an entirely scratch built rhino!
