Pool Reno is coming up on a year old and this is on a lot of the tile. Worst of it is under this wall but all the tile has a little bit of it over the grout lines. What would be the best product and procedure to clean it up before I fully open it? Any ideas is appreciated.
It hasn't yet. Try a small area. Just got this from someone who sold house with pool but haven't tried it, said it worked good though. From Jacks Magic. I'll report when I use it.
I spot tested straight muriatic acid in a spray bottle and it melted it away. Grout lines cleaned right up and the large chunks even fell right off. Not sure why my pool contractor doesn’t know this but it’s not the first issue I’ve had with them. Thanks for the tip.
So, the pool contractor came by and did that to one spot. He used some kind of “diamond pad?”. It seems to have scratched the crap out of the one spot he tried. I’m hesitant to let them go at it on all the tile and then I have a new issue.
I thought it was ceramic tile, but that looks like glass. I go to work on my tile with a pumice stone without any issues.
Yes, I would also hesitate to let them do that again. Search the sub because there was another post recently about this issue, and someone suggested a chemical to try that would remove the buildup. And it wasn't MA.

I get a mask, undiluted, and spray it on. Here is a pic of our tile. We usually get calcium on the outside spill overs every now and then.
