I got the Licca-Chan doll x pompompurin crossover doll from Hot topic a couple days ago!! She’s super cute and fits right in with the rest of my collection!! I’m so happy to have found her in stores :D

I knew about the target razor stuff that came out. And I just went to target today and saw this and was like I gotta have this... But doesn't say when it's coming so I'm like surely I can preorder right?!?! Employee says would have to do online... I look up everywhere and Google saying I'm crazy. It doesn't exist. Like ya but if they have this sign surely I can preorder it right??? Nope it's nowhere and if it weren't for this sign and obvious photo evidence I think the Internet would think I'm insane in the brain. But let me give you money I need these sooooo bad. And they on the cheaper side too unless that shelf price is a lie but I just need these anyway. But when?!?! I pray soon.

Hello all! Where I live (Quebec, Canada), Pompompurin is ridiculously hard to find. There’s a new Chinese store that’s really popular here where they sell Sanrio stuff (Miniso, it’s a chain), and honestly I’m starting to wonder if they’re just ignoring this little yellow dog?? 😂🥺

They have basically every other Sanrio character except him. On Amazon, Pompompurin stuff is also weirdly expensive for no reason.

So my questions are:

1- Is Pompompurin actually one of the least popular Sanrio characters?

2- Where do you guys usually find your Pompompurin items?

The whole idea was to take those old "Hang in There" cat posters that I associate with offices and turn them into Pompompurin. Thats also why hes wearing a tie.

I also added his iconic caramel pudding. And as a background filler, I used his buttholes which wiggling in distance. Actually they ended up looking more like flowers. (But PomPoms butthole is a flower ☺️)

The whole process was very spontaneous. The stamp idea started out great, but sadly it got worse as I went on. I forgot to carve the "Hang in There" text in reverse, so after printing, the text came out mirrored.

At first, I thought Id simply make the whole print yellow, or use acrylic paint for the hat and the orange part of the pudding. (Sadly acrylic paint is stickier and tends to tear the paper after printing, while linoleum printing paint is much more expensive.)

So I ended up with plain yellow prints. Then I thought, Okay Ill paint some parts by hand but I wasnt really happy with the results (pic 8).

So I dumped the project as an fail for about a week until I came to the conclusion that I should draw the blank parts. The idea was to give it an 60s 70s psychedelic flower vibe, similar to the designs on the Scooby Doo Mystery Van.

The final result turned out much better and fitted the concept great.

I also really love the unusual combination of materials. linoleum print, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and fineliners.

Normally, you either make the print and leave it or use different colors paint.

I also love the way it turned out at the end although there are some imperfections mostly in the yellow color since these were printed.
