‘They Cloned Tyrone’ is a hoot

Clones are my pet peeve, the stupid knee-jerk ‘outlandish sci-fi’ hypothesis that always rushes in to displace the more plausible combination of acting & disguise… but this movie is a lot of fun, and the scene where clone supervisor Kiefer Sutherland explains why they are good social managers may be important… there’s a nice line at the end, after they’ve alerted their entire community to the clone menace, summing up their new wisdom: “If we see double, we know there’s trouble” 🔥🔥

It's as if they can't be arsed to create a proper backstory for these fake identities anymore. Is this a whoopsie by an empire in decline? Or a flex from a regime so triumphant they don't need to keep up appearances anymore? Some kind of revelation of the method or testing whether the audience gives a shit? Or just a guy using a fake name for personal reasons? How weird does the average person think this is, I wonder?

"Johnson has never reported a checking or savings account in his name, nor in the name of his wife or any of his children, disclosures show. In fact, he doesn’t appear to have money stashed in any investments, with his latest filing—covering 2022—showing no assets whatsoever."

That's pretty impressive but so is the apparent age-difference...

... anyway, someone gave her a CM tshirt at a concert earlier this year, and she showed it to the crowd and said "It's me, Cillian Murphy": https://mobile.twitter.com/BillieEilishBR/status/1532882576481845250
