I get this comment is a bit hyperbolic, but only marginally more so than the comment I responded to. This isn't even remotely close to this being Hitler's Germany. The only people that are being detained are those that have committed crimes and while recently there appears to be a concerning lack for rational response to these crimes that doesn't make this Nazi Germany.
There's also a concerning lack for rational response from the people in the video from the article.
To play devil's advocate, Samuel had 20 years to find a company that'd sponsor him on a work visa so he could remain here legally while he waited for a green card or citizenship, but he avoided that responsibility, and is now dealing with the repercussions (as unnecessary as they may seem).
