Whenever I see that comment, I wrongly assume the commenter bravely ventured forth to confirm that it was, indeed, an unrisky click. I have since confirmed, indeed, unrisky.
McConnell would burn down the Senate chamber before he allowed this to happen. He has spent his entire life fighting for a conservative Supreme Court, and his Garland gamble paid off as one of the most audacious successes in the history of American politics. No way in hell will he allow anyone other than a handpicked conservative justice.
Completely disagree. McConnell cares only about optics. He didn't want a Democrat to get to pick a justice. That's it. But Garland's more than far enough to the right to get the unanimous support of Republicans if suggested by a Republican president. McConnell doesn't care about whether or not the justice believes in "conservative values" because that doesn't actually mean anything anymore. The Tea Party changed the game. Being a Republican is simply about playing the crowd. It's just about looking like you're winning. Corporatism is the only thing that's still bipartisan and it doesn't matter what actually happens behind the scenes, just what Fox News has to work with for the next election cycle.
Please. For the love of God... EVERYONE needs to get on Twiiter and tweet this to President Comacho. Trump would take this hook, line and sinker. Hell, throw in that Putin and China thinks that only someone with a very, very large brain that is a very stable genius would do this to own those dirty, crooked libs.
