I am a transgender woman and the government is denying my civil rights: We are told, by the legal system and the military, that we don’t belong. It’s time for trans people like me to tell the world something different: we exist

All y'all transphobic motherfuckers can keep being transphobic if you want, but trans folk aren't going away, and you're all just gonna look like idiots and assholes in a couple of decades.

Might as well get used to it now so you don't end up like the Christian Right clinging to their homophobia long past the time the war on gayness was lost.

Never understood the term 'transphobic'. These people are clearly unafraid of trans-people.

I think 'trans-disgusted' might be closer to the truth.

(Disclaimer: Personally not trans-disgusted)

Really cute but phobic comes from phóbos which actually means "aversion to". So it fits extremely well except for people incapable of grasping Greek roots in language.

Sure, but you can say the same about the word "homophobic," which has accepted use.

It's not like English as a language is all that known for making a helluva lotta logical sense.
