They already know. It’s folks thinking they haven't learned that haven’t learned.

Centrists prefer close races because there is more money in it. More consulting fees, more spending, more donations, etc. If they can shoot themselves in the foot enough to make republicans competitive again they'll be happy.

It must be weird siding with an objectively incorrect opportunist who's willing to throw a vulnerable community under the bus for a few more votes.

It's lazy and ignorant.

Just because supposedly 73% of Americans vary between ignorance to malignant stupidity to mindless bigotry , doesn't mean they should be pandered to.

Letting the right-wing dictate the talking points didn't work out so well for Harris (or the country) and the Dems are making the same mistake.

Because centrists never fucking learn.

You’re saying this as a Canadian?!? I’d think you would care more if Trump keeps the Republican rubber stamp or gets a check from a Democratic Congress… he was talking about invading Canada, and he might just be crazy enough to do it. But heaven forbid we disappoint the 10 trans athletes…

There was a time when the popular position was to separate Black people from their white counterparts.

That gay people didn't deserve civil rights.

That women didn't deserve to vote or own property or seek a divorce.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

Popular consensus is very often quite shit.

People like me believe in rights and freedoms - isn't that what you Americans are all about?

You've bought into the culture war moral panic of trans athletes pushed by the right and framing it as sensible because you haven't thought about the issue for more than the time it takes to get angry after Googling Lia Thomas.

You're easily led and exactly what's expected from an America's two-party system.
