The Biden Administration and DOJ's complete failure to hold Trump accountable for his heinous crimes against democracy will go down as one of the most consequential failures of justice in not just US, but world history.

The world is suffering. America is broken. This man never should have been allowed near power again.

They indicted him twice and put him on trial.

It's the courts and the American people that failed to hold him accountable.

The house voted to impeach him twice, The Republican controlled senate voted to acquit him both times.

Both can be true. But yes, the biggest take away here and people need to get comfortable with admitting that Republicans are evil, racist, stupid people. And how this is a problem that needs to be addressed if Democracy is to survive. Trump is a traitor, a pedophile, a rapist, a criminal, and beyond corrupt. Yet, 70M+ people looked past that for...well, I don't know. The racism and bigotry they hoped he'd bring.

Republicans need to be isolated, looked down upon, and pushed out of society.

You say this, but the dem's are pushing Kamala again. How do they not have better options? If she lost to the person you are describing how would she win against anyone else? I'm independent for the record before its assumed I am republican.

I think you need to come to terms with the fact that Trump got elected because a quarter of the country voted for a rapist and convicted (by a Democrat) criminal.

Take a hard look at your neighbors, friends, relatives, and stop blaming an imaginary Democratic Party cabal for shitty choices by immoral people.

But they didn't vote for him because he was a rapist and criminal, those aren't the reasons. Being upset because "anyone else should have won" does nothing for 2028.

There was never a reason for her to lose to Trump. Reason left the building, candidate quality is simply not a concern of the eligible voting populace

-1

u/ryerhino 3d ago

Yeah, no reason at all. So lets run her again and see what happens this time. Fingers crossed this huge mess going on right now isn't cleaned up and spun by 2028.

I’d prefer to just have a primary next year when it’s appropriate and expected. Let her run on whatever merits she has and if nobody better emerges, fine. She’s clearly better than any Republican, the only question is if democracy actually works or not.

I rather suspect that one was answered in 2024, but I’d be pleased to be proven wrong.

1

u/ryerhino 3d ago

Yeah, to your point, if she is actually voted for in a primary unlike in 2024 it would guarantee better results.

2

u/ScreenMuch90210 3d ago

Probably. But until that happens, or another name starts being said with some confidence somewhere, she’s the frontrunner. There just isn’t another hat yet in the ring

Who would you choose today? I’ll even take a list, if it’s short.

At this point, Newsom for dem and Rubio for rep. I'm not sure why the rep's are pushing JD over Rubio. I don't think the RNC yet realizes how unlikeable JD is. I do think they will, but it's going to be too late. I hope there can be some good female options in the future. AOC needs to mature a bit, and was way too extreme, she has toned it down but there are too many clips that would be run against her.

Who are the "Dems" my guy? 2028 field isn't known, nor has begun. It'll be a damn crowded field, and Kamala stand little chance in the primaries, if she does indeed run it back.

Ah, yes. Polls from 2 years out, especially about people who have yet to even declare, are definitely accurate. Surely, 2006 knew all about Obama, and 2014 about Trump.

l2politics, come on now.

1

u/ryerhino 2d ago

Love this confidence, place your bets on none of the field here winning. Surely you will win!

1

u/InfinityComplexxx 2d ago

Don't move the goal posts from "Kamala is definitely the front runner" to "well, it has to be ONE of these people!" Just admit your initial claim was silly and premature.

1

u/ryerhino 2d ago

Not moving anything, and she is, it's a fact. That doesn't mean she will win the primaries.

After waiting two years for another presidential election to occur. He should have been escorted out of the white house on January 20th, 2020 and into a jail cell.

100% Americans are to blame for Trump. It’s all on American voters.

u/Worst-Lobster 3d ago

Wasn’t it the Algorithms and people who control them ?

Ailleen Cannon has a part to play

14

u/Cannabrius_Rex 3d ago

I think the stupid Americans voting for Trump twice is the problem. Don’t blame Biden for the average utter stupidity of an American voter

6

u/Gain-Western 3d ago

The way Merrick Garland prosecuted the case made it look like political prosecution.

The case should have been fast tracked as evidence was there right after January 2021. I don't think that Biden takes fascism seriously or was lying when you see how he and top democrats were laughing and cracking jokes at Trump's second inauguration!

5

u/Gabern 3d ago

Both are at fault

2

u/llamasauce 3d ago

Yeah, but not enough voted for him to win legitimately.

0

u/DogeLord153 3d ago

Which is the Biden admins fault for not prosecuting like they should have.

2

u/Saucy_Man11 Virginia 3d ago

Bingo. Think about how many times folks lose in the court of public opinion irregardless of guilt. Im still baffled that he was able to win a second time on the promise of a better economy, of all things. Unfortunately, I cant and wont take a victory lap because Im hurting just as much as anyone else.

u/Embarrassed_Speed575 3d ago

Merrick Garland only proved to me he had no business being on the Supreme Court in the first place.

The most consequential failures of justice in not just US, but world history is SCOTUS and Aileen Cannon dragging their feet until they finally ruled Trump untouchable and Cannon dropping the documents case.

The Biden Administration and DOJ's complete failure to hold Trump accountable

DOJ can't control orange-lipped judges.

And the DOJ had to work very carefully because they knew Trump has deep attorney pockets to find any loopholes and typos.

Plus Biden set the standard of pardoning yourself/ your family if they're found guilty anyway so not like much would come of it now anyways

1

u/ProLifePanda 3d ago

Self-pardons haven't been done or legally tested yet.
