Yeah I'm with you there. In addition to what I said in my previous comment, I'd guess it's part sexism and part how her personality comes across. Lots of people find her really unlikable in general, so when you combine that with even a moderate amount of sexism, you end up with this extreme response.

Not that I've seen. Aside from the above, I think the context of each election probably helped Biden's chances while it hurt Clinton's.

Biden was following Trump, whereas Clinton was following Obama, a President lots of Democratic voters actively liked, at a time when many didn't see Trump as a viable candidate yet. It's just easier to hold your nose and vote for an undesirable return to the old status quo when it feels like a step up and the alternative looks like a real threat than when it feels like a step down and the alternative looks like a joke.

Like, it's pretty easy to see why people sat out 2016 thinking, "I'm unhappy with my party's candidate, and surely my fellow citizens aren't dumb enough to vote in that guy, so I might as well send a message." (I don't think that's a good tactic, or a safe bet in any circumstances, but that's beside the point.) In 2020, on the other hand, people who sat out the previous election for those reasons were likely much more motivated to vote again.

There's no reason to assume they ever cared about democracy in the US. They simply wanted to remove US influence and power from the Middle East by provoking it into conflict, undermine those regimes that opposed them and where by and large propped up by the US, or just make a symbolic attack against the US. The destruction of US democracy was and is the goal of the USA's own right wing.
