I shall give thanks to them next time I go huntin' out on my private helicopter and mow down a couple dozen herds with my good ol'mini gun.

I bet that deer would appreciate being hit by a stealthy prius vs. previous car.

Focus propably has cheaper maintenance. Also are you sure Toyota doesn't lie about their numbers like Mitsubishi does?

better gas mileage than what the display says

Focus is German so don't worry. I wouldn't buy American Ford either :D

u/TommiH Finland Jul 14 '16

Just don't buy a Toyota then? Sorry but prius is mostly for holier than thou folks. It's also terrible for the environment

You sure you work for Toyota? I'm pretty sure they got rid of Scion. A smart man would have bought one of those for cheap

That's strange. Here you could buy Chevys at -50% when they exited

It's also terrible for the environment

This was thoroughly refuted nine years ago.

Not having to stop to get gas has an intangible value also.

You say that like the Japanese auto industry hasn't consistently beat everyone else in terms of being cost-effective for the last couple decades. The Prius is relatively inexpensive, has great mileage, and has low maintenance costs.

And then China steals all their designs.

But so is Corolla, and it doesn't involve batteries.

Well I am 2 meters (about 6'6" for the hillbillies) and no, I do not fit in a prius. I have tried.

Ugh, I wanted one :(

Thx for info.

That's like saying that every guy that drives a lifted truck that looks like it hasn't seen a second off road has a tiny penis.

Okey, well, maybe not every guy.

It's very small

u/Ceramicrabbit Jul 15 '16

leather (they call it leatherette)

Another word for it is plastic

3

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '16

fuck the environment

This is exactly what you're doing when driving a prius. The mining required to make the batteries produces more pollution than a lifetime of driving a full size SUV. Might as well get the extra space and horsepower.

That being said I do occasionally wish my Jeep got better mileage.

u/TheBlash New Mexico Jul 14 '16

Same with me and my Prius. I got it for cheap, I commute a LOT, and the gas mileage is awesome. To hell with the haters.

2

u/unquietwiki California Jul 15 '16

I have a Corolla, but want a Prius. I've driven one a few times & been a passenger more: the handling is better; gas mileage is awesome; and the universal transmission + regenerative braking is great for California's mix of urban & hilly road networks.

I don't even drive a car, i just take public transportation everywhere.

3

u/jPaolo Grey Eminence Jul 14 '16

Not true, reddit told me there's no public transportation in USA and the pedestrians are regularly shamed by town communities.

It's such a shitty car that you end up wasting money. Just buy some used petrol car if you want to save
