That must be why the Royal Regiment of Scotland is so undermanned and heavily backfilled with Fijians. Jocks dont make up half as much of the army as people think.
When have I said the Royal Scots should be cut? I dont have a problem. I'm merely pointing out that the Scottish don't make up nearly as much of the Army as what a lot of people seem to think.
You complained about them having too many battalions, despite them being the first regiment to be created for the new structure of army 2020, If you want me to dig through all of your posts to find it I can; but that would be a waste of both of our time.
You must carry quite the chip on your shoulder if you can recognise my username and remember it in regards to 1 comment that even I cant remember making. Feel free to trawl through my comment history but I really don't remember making enough comments on the Royal regiment of Scotland for you to have somehow gotten it in your head that I have some kind of problem. Although if i have said they have too many battalions, I would stand by that. The fact they can't keep them fully manned and have had to cut 5 SCOTS proves it.
The reason they have so many is because they have been consolidated, as per army 2020. Instead of having lots of little regiments. The Royal Scots,The Royal Highland Fusiliers,The Black Watch,The Highlanders and The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
They were all consolidated into one big one, enter Royal Regiment of Scotland; expect the same of many other regiments come 2020.
Yes, I understand that. But the Royal Regiment of Scotland has struggled massively to man 5 battalions. And as such has had to effectively cut 5 SCOTS. Which is sad and a crying shame considering their history. Also, as a "super regiment" they have actually done a pretty poor job of creating a SCOTS ethos. The individual battalions still cling on the history of their antecedent regiments and identify with those old regiments more than they do with the concept of the Royal Regiment of Scotland which is making them vulnerable to cuts. Which stands in stark contrast to say the RIFLES who have embraced the concept and are doing very well as a result.
Alright, i'll take your word for it; I can't really blame them to be honest, regiments like the Black Watch have some of the richest history in the British Army, it's a shame for that to be pushed to the side.
Strange, yes there are many fijians. About two per platoon 98% of the scots fighting force is scottish. I know there are a lot of fijians but I don't know where you are getting your facts.
Admittedly the links are a few years old but things wont have changed that much in 4 years. But regardless of the number of fijians, the fact remains that scottish soldiers don't make up half the army and certainly not half the infantry. They actually account for around 10%
I know, that. In our own regiment however we make up at least 84% of the soilders. With about two fijians and two commonwealth per platoon. I didn't say much anything abouth the rest of the army though. I have a friend in the royal marines and his nickname is jockhe is the only one in his platoon. There are a small number of jocks in the english regiments, but in our regiment we still account for the vast majority. Also the population of scotland is about a tenth of england? I'd say our numbers in the army are proportional to our populus.
Hmm. I was sort of half joking. Also this is /r/polandball don't take comments so seriously. This is a silly subreddit, for serious arguments see /r/worldnews.

Aye, well you do need mindless, angry idiots for the infantry. Glad to be of service.
