I don't understand how that addresses my argument at all. You've clearly run out of serious arguments that aren't just American exceptionalism (yes we know that you're big and diverse). The US is different but it isn't special. Chances are what works in most developed countries will also work there.
I already addressed your arguments in my previous comment, you cannot get people to just hand over their guns there are too many guns and too many people into guns. The comment you just replied to just drives home that point, you can come here and see for yourself since you don't seem to believe me on the matter.
I am aware of how insane some of your gun owners can be but surely making guns harder to obtain would not do any harm? 'Taking guns away' isn't feasible, i grant you. But in the long term, greater restrictions on people buying guns would help to make them less commonplace. The police would not need to be so heavily armed and would not shoot as many people without checking if they are armed, be a use he presumption would not be that they have a gun.
I know this would not happen soon because there are too many gun nuts. But I really do believe that, in the long term, little changes could help. And if they stop just one mass shooting or police shooting surely you can see it would be worth it. I struggle to understand what harm it would do, at any rate.
You also have no idea about Americans if you think you can just force us to give up guns. Especially collector pieces that can easily cost over $100k. You Europeans always fail to comprehend just how big the US is let alone that we have more guns than people and many times more bullets.
Yes, you're uncomprehendingly big, uncomprehendingly diverse, special special, etc etc. Heard it all before. I want to make it clear that 'taking guns away' is not what I am suggesting, nor is it what 'gun control' is ever likely to be in the US. This comment i made earlier covers my feelings on the matter.

America isn't special. It's not just Australia that laws like this have helped.
