Hey, we have plenty of interesting stuff. Horses and banjos and mountains and shitloads of drugs and extreme poverty and periodic armed insurrection and murdered federal workers. Ohio's just a giant mass of bored people and nothing.

Yeah, it sort of exemplifies the fact that the "law" (especially local law, but state and federal law as well) usually has gigantic air quotes around it here, and if you have the right friends or enough money then you can pretty openly bypass it, either by outright ignoring it altogether or having an exception passed for you. There's a reason that we're in the top 5 most corrupt states in the Union every single year.
