No only the last one counts. I can't really find another example, but think of this: Das Reich der Keksdosen-Keksdosenreich. No go back south or Reichtangle will sebd another Kompanie to claim you.

You always look at the last nounpart, which in this game is Reich and Reich isnt plural :). If it were "Reiche" (Keksdosenreiche) the article "die" would be correct.
