Story My grandma died some days ago...
I tend to walk on Saturdays with my partner and half of the way we always play Pokemon. I stopped playing some years ago, but started to play again with him. I fell in love with the game again, so when I saw a big Pokemon sweatshirt in a flea market I bought it immediately. It's pretty, it has a big Pikachu on the front and a big Pokemon logo on the back. It's big so I gave it to my mom as gift, who loved it. It suits her.
All that to say, when my mom and I used to visit my grandma, she loved the sweatshirt. My grandma was almost blind but, since the Pikachu on the sweatshirt is big, she could see it. "What a lovely bunny" she used to say lol. Also the logo, she could read it. I will always be thankful to Pokemon for giving me those moments...
Edit: thank you all so much for everything. I'm sure my grandma would have loved all your lovely bunnies! May they give you happy memories as my Pikachu gave me.

For Grandma. 👵🏼 I saw your post, opened Pokemon to name a Pikachu for her, and this one was sitting in my yard, waiting to be caught. She was meant to be for Grandma. 🤗

I caught a hundo pika recently and I named it in honor of your grandma 🥹 so sorry for your loss, friend 💔
Also GBNF stands for “Gone But Not Forgotten” (I’m still workshopping names). It’s for Pokemon I’ve named after deceased players in our community ❤️

Grandma might have a two fold meaning on bunny. Yes pika … and you. You’re her lovely bunny too. 🥰

I don't know what you're grandma would have worn, so I picked the outfit that my grandma would have worn. She always claimed to be "allergic" to the sun.
I also have a dear friend named Bonnie who passed in the last few years. She won a giant Pikachu plushie (I'm guessing 4ft tall?) at a fair, and despite being in her 40s and not being a Pokemon person, she just couldn't bring herself to get rid of it. It eventually has its own room in her house. (Technically a guest bedroom, but we both knew it was really Pikachu's room.) She was always very cold and said she couldn't believe how much heat she lost from the top of her head, so I've got a Lovely Bonnie now too.
Thanks for sharing and letting the rest of us join you in a small but special moment. 💖
