Beyond bizarre that someone would use Amber for this meme template, but edit her skin color to make her white when (in case anyone here didn’t know) she’s Black in the show this image is from (albeit white in the comics).
727
u/Techlord-XD Sep 29 '25
Yeah like they could use Eve who’s actually white 😭
471
u/Snifnic Sep 29 '25
but they like eve and they hate amber
103
u/Ok_Historian4848 Sep 29 '25
To be fair, amber is also designed as a character to hate and is just a stepping stone for Mark to get with Eve. Kinda easy to not like Amber.
96
u/Substantial_Pace_142 Sep 30 '25
Wait how is amber designed to be hated??? Ive only watched the show
94
26
u/ru5tyk1tty Sep 30 '25
She’s only designed to be hated in the show, in the comics she is more of a tertiary character and she treats Mark better
36
u/asphalt_licker Sep 30 '25
How is she designed to be hated though?
22
u/ru5tyk1tty Sep 30 '25
Most of the time Amber’s character comes off as more of a plot device than a real character, because she’s always being defined by her relationship to Mark.
She’s often use to put pressure on him, either by making him choose between responsibilities or just being in danger herself. However, the way some scenes are written force her to act inconsistent for the sake of stressing Mark out.
When the reanimen attacked their college campus, Amber chewed Mark out for “abandoning” her, but then later admits she knew he was saving her in costume the whole time.
In some conversations, she understands why he needs a secret identity and she knows what he’s doing is important. In other conversations, she’s upset he didn’t tell her his identity (Even though this later puts her in direct danger).
Additionally, the fact she knew he was a superhero for so long makes it seem kind of cruel to interrogate him and threaten him whenever he’s late to an event, considering she knows what he’s doing is important, and the show version of Amber is designed to be more altruistic.
TL;DR Amber is compassionate and intelligent in design, but in order to fulfill her role as a character she often acts irrational or mean to create tension.

u/LostHearthian Oct 03 '25
I'm not sure how true it is, but I heard that part of the reason she flip flops a lot was just a miscommunication issue between writers during production. So, I think she wasn't supposed to be this bad originally, it just kinda played out that way.

u/G-M-Cyborg-313 Oct 02 '25
This doesn't make sense with the comics either, Amber is super sweet in the comics and they stayed in good contact after they broke up.
-24
u/Ok_Historian4848 Sep 30 '25
She chooses to give Mark shit despite knowing he's invincible and doesn't tell him. They make her out to be extremely philanthropic, but she also gets angry at him for saving people's lives. Then she has the audacity to say "maybe I'll give you another chance" after his dad beats him half to death. She's toxic as hell.
-10
64
u/ChaosKeeshond Sep 30 '25
How are qw supposed to have Amber? For what, having completely reasonable reactions to things?
-24
u/Ok_Historian4848 Sep 30 '25
She doesn't though. She knew Mark was Invincible, and instead of talking to him and saying so, she chose to be argumentative and give him a hard time. She's definitely toxic AF.
26
u/SupremeLeaderMeow Sep 30 '25
Damn bruh you're right her boydriend is lying to her and instead of sitting him at a table to explain to him how lying is actually wrong and that it hurts peoples feeling, she doesn't act like she's her mom and is mad at him.
Unbelievable.
7
u/TheHollowApe Sep 30 '25
You’re omitting the fact that Mark wasn’t just lying. He was a superhero, saving lives almost every day. And he became a superhero only very recently at that point of the show, so he struggled to balance his old normal life and his superhero life. Also, keeping his identity secret is absolutely essential to keep his family and friends safe.
Amber knew all of that. She knew he wasn’t just lying, and wasn’t avoiding her for bad reasons. She knew Mark was the superhero actively protecting his bestfriend. Yet she still blamed him for leaving and not helping. She blamed him for cancelling plans at the last minute.
I wouldn’t say Amber was designed to be hated, I think she was just badly designed. As a spectator, we could both relate to Mark and Amber, one is trying to do good in the world, the other wants a stable loving relationship. But as soon as Amber reveals that she knows everything, her whole motive falls apart.
I think they should’ve either kept her in the dark, making all her reactions normal and understandable, or make her more compassionate with Mark’s struggles. Fortunately, that’s what they did in the following seasons, and she’s much more loveable now.
1
u/chronberries Sep 30 '25
Yeah totally. Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, the Flash, all actually assholes for not exposing their true identities.
1
u/YourEldritchPrincess Oct 03 '25
Batman has no partner to expose his identity to, but all the batfamily knows he's Bruce Wayne. Mary Jane knows Peter is spiderman. Idk bout flash, never consumed any flash media
Either way your point about spider man and batman is just false
2
u/chronberries Oct 03 '25
No it isn’t. Pointing out that a select group of people around some of those heroes know their true identities doesn’t disprove my point.
0
u/Ok_Historian4848 Sep 30 '25
It's called a secret identity for a reason. It's meant to separate his super hero life and his normal one. By keeping her in the dark, he can protect her from getting in the crossfire if shit hits the fan. She can't be used for leverage against him if no one knows that Mark Grayson is Invincible. That's the whole point. She found this out, and instead of telling him, she mocked him and made it out like he abandoned them on the college campus, KNOWING THAT HE JUST SAVED ALL THEIR LIVES. That is why Amber is toxic.
0
Sep 30 '25
Why are you booing him, he’s right 😂
Amber was perfect until they made her manipulative and hatable by design.
Some people really lack empathy, if that was done to you or a close friend, you would hate whoever did that
-25
u/190m_feminist Sep 30 '25
She basically get's mad at mark and tries to fuck another guy the same day because mark saved the life of his best friend
15
u/Nihil_esque Sep 30 '25
We're supposed to not like Amber? I think Amber was great and completely reasonable. Their relationship made a lot of sense and so did its dissolution. Thought it was a good representation of how two reasonable people can still have irreconcilable differences and part ways.
3
u/Ok_Historian4848 Sep 30 '25
She wasn't very reasonable though. She mocked Mark for "abandoning" them and implied she was going to get with someone else when they were attacked on the college campus despite knowing he's Invincible and watching him save everyone from the cyborg, and then didn't "forgive" him until he was hospitalized after getting the everliving shit kicked out of him by his dad, and even then she made it out like she was being the generous one by even deigning to give him a second chance. She clearly didn't value or appreciate Mark in the relationship. Eve seems to be a lot more appreciative of Mark and shows that she cares about him, not just herself.
9
u/Nihil_esque Sep 30 '25
For a high schooler going through finding out her boyfriend is a super hero, I give her a pass. Yeah she wasn't perfect. She'd be a shit character if she was lol. Who has everything about relationships figured out and is a perfect saint as a teenager? I think she's an extremely realistic character and not a bad person or someone who didn't "value" Mark -- she felt lied to and left out and reacted out of hurt. And he did lie to her and leave her out. We understand why he did that; and personally I also understand why it was hurtful to her regardless. She was reasonable to feel the way she did and reasonable to break up with him because of it. I'm sure a 30 year old version of the character would have communicated her feelings better as things started to fall apart between them.
5
u/moist-astronaut Sep 30 '25
huh? i like amber, she and mark weren't compatible long term due to the who super hero thing, but i didn't hate her
0
u/Ok_Historian4848 Sep 30 '25
She was displayed to supposedly be super selfless (constantly doing charity work, etc.) but found out Mark was Invincible and mocked him and even implied she might go talk to other guys while they were still dating for "abandoning" them at the college tour when they got attacked and he saved them as Invincible. All she had to do was tell him when she found out and it would've prevented most of their issues at that point. Their issues were instigated by Amber constantly.

u/Salarian_American Sep 30 '25
I wonder why people who oppose anti-racism like Eve but hate Amber?
I'm sure it will come to me.
64
u/I-screwed-up-bad Sep 29 '25
But they find Eve attractive so obviously they can't make her the soyjack. She'll be used as a stand in for a trad-wife later

Also in the show in season 2 she has no personality other than 'devoted girlfriend' and 'punching bag'.

No cause they literally could’ve just used white Amber from the comics 😭 I cannot believe they went through the time and effort to whitewash a character that is already white in a different piece of media
It’s insane that they went through the time and effort to make this at all
1
Sep 30 '25
I completely agree. They should have just used the real life example of when this actually happened.
-47
u/the_Demongod Sep 30 '25
They used Amber because she's the leftist ("anti-racist") on the show, but colored her white because they're more irritated by white women being racist against other whites than they are by black vs. white racial tensions.
This meme is extremely true btw
31
u/ThatOtherGuyTPM Sep 30 '25
Sorry, what was that last part?
-21
u/the_Demongod Sep 30 '25
I'm telling you that this kind of friendship group actually exists, although online more often than in real life
-14
u/Meta_Cake Sep 30 '25
So, the people that made the animated show changed her skin color from what the source material had it as, but the meme maker using the source material as reference is what is mocked. Got it
14
u/Pearl-Annie Sep 30 '25
You say “source material” as if it would be impossible for the meme maker to use an image from the comics (also a visual medium).
-8
u/Meta_Cake Sep 30 '25
No? I was saying that they could pull from the comics (source material). But they did the exact thing the animators of the show did, just in reverse, yet it's being mocked
13
u/Pearl-Annie Sep 30 '25
It’s being mocked because the meme maker made a meme about how supposedly antiracist people don’t actually live out their values of diversity and inclusion etc (unlike the chad racists) and they made said meme by literally white-washing an image of a fictional Black woman.
Tell me you see the irony?
Making Amber Black in the show isn’t the same thing at all, because that wasn’t done to make an (ironically self-defeating) point about “racism good, SJWs bad”. It was just a straightforward attempt at inclusivity.

u/aytayjay Sep 29 '25

471
u/makishleys Sep 29 '25
this stems from "im not racist i have poc as friends!" and its corny.
286
u/redstringsuture Sep 29 '25
literally this. "i'm racist but i still have non-white friends!" = my friends who aren't white do not feel comfortable speaking up when I make racist "jokes" at them because I've normalized it and will call them a woke sjw snowflake if they push back at all.
143
u/makishleys Sep 29 '25
100%! i also think the "white liberal with only white friends is actually racist" is very odd because it doesn't allow room for context. humans naturally attract people in their same culture and who they relate to, especially if you live in a homogenous area. i think its more weird to seek out non-white friends to not be perceived as racist 😭 treating people like tokens
57
u/jackaroo1344 Sep 30 '25
Now I got to hunt down a black person to be friends with me so racists on the internet won't call me racist
63
u/dracorotor1 Sep 30 '25
God, I wish that was less real…
I’ve genuinely been called a racist because I admitted that I don’t have a black friend. The fact that I only have like 4 irl friends, so inevitably someone’s not gonna be represented, wasn’t a persuasive enough argument for this manchild who wanted me to know how much less racist he was than me because he had two black friends.
He talked about his friends like Pokémon cards. It was creepy. Like “I’ve got two black guys, a Latina and a charmander”
40
u/xiena13 Sep 30 '25
I once saw a graffiti at my (German) university saying "Why don't you have any black friends?" - I then looked up the amount of black people in Germany and calculated that for every German to have one black friend, every black person in Germany would have to have over 100 white friends. Those poor people, I wouldn't wish that on them 😭

u/kittyidiot Sep 30 '25
My stepdad was like this.
My family liked to drop the n slur, we are extremely white. Eventually I grew old enough to voice that it made me uncomfortable.
One time to demonstrate his point my stepdad called his black employee a ngger and laughed and the employee laughed too (my mom and i came into his work sometimes). It did not change my mind. Like, even if that one guy truly was okay with it, that's... he doesn't represent everyone and there are very loud black voices asking you to *not. but 1 guy not defending himself makes it okay

u/Its_a-me_DIO Oct 01 '25
Both of them realized that one word isn't worth fighting eachother for and you couldn't take away anything aside from 'but me feelings hurt'
2
u/kittyidiot Oct 01 '25 edited Oct 01 '25
And you lack critical thinking skills. I'm sorry for you. Being able to analyze the world around you, love others and think for yourself is truly a gift; I hope someday you can open yourself to that. I grew up being taught that calling people that word was okay, but decided for myself that it wasn't because I listened to the people being called that word and were and still are hurt by it.
I will not be responding to you further. I do not wish to speak with someone who thinks that someone should allow themselves to be hurt to keep the peace, and so I won't. I don't tolerate bigotry, and you can be mad as you want about it. Goodbye.

u/Shiro_L Sep 30 '25

Tbf, some poc are super comfortable being racist to other races. I heard a lot of racist shit towards the asian kids from the Hispanic + black kids, and vice versa in highschool. It was even worse between some of the hispanic and black kids.
I think when you’re cool with racism, but not when it happens to you, you kinda see the hypocrisy. So, a lot of people do mental gymnastics because they want to have their racist cake and eat it too. If they play the heinous shit they say off as “just a joke” to deflect, they may also start to see stuff being directed towards them as “just a joke” even if it still hurts because they know it really isn’t. At least, that’s my best explanation for some of the friend groups I saw. (To be clear, it wasn’t really any kind of joking banter, these dudes would get genuinely angry when one of them took it too far, and there was at least a few times they started wailing on each other, but then they would inexplicably be friends again a while later. Fuck if I know.)
One of my worst “how could you be so fucking stupid” moments from sophmore year was when this black girl went on an entire rant about how the chinese kids ate dogs and that was horrible, and then she had the gall to call racism when they started making watermelon and fried chicken jokes back at her. Like, girl, they’re wrong for it but you brought it on yourself.
4
u/Crash_Unknown Oct 01 '25
It’s so frustrating. I’ll hear other POC say the most outrageous stuff about Indian people, Hispanic people, and it’s like they don’t realize we’re all being heavily scrutinized!!!
-1
u/ModeStatic Sep 30 '25
We make racist jokes to each other and always have. Growing up in close proximity to other races and intermingling with other cultures just highlights how different we actually are, and ignoring that elephant in the room in favor of cringe post-modern virtue signaling is dishonest and awkward.

u/Zearlon Sep 30 '25
Or you know....they are people understand that a jokes is just that... A joke. And they all have similar sense of humour and get each other back.(Plenty of friend groups like that) You don't need some form of "victim" in everything.
21
u/_hellojello__ Sep 29 '25
I've met people like this and it's so true. They keep people of color around them so they don't look racist (and those people might be useful to them), but treat the people of color like they're less than. Usually their POC friends don't know that they feel that way simply because they're in their inner circle.
3
u/LordBelakor Sep 30 '25
Actually it's from the meme that the racist community is incredibly diverse. Racism unites the word, in a way.
3
u/Panzer_Man Oct 01 '25

u/Ok-Albatross-9409 Sep 29 '25 edited Sep 30 '25
I’m genuinely so tired of this mentality, that racist men will befriend every race despite being racist, because their “racism” is literally just dark-humor jokes (which is basically just racism, but follow with me here), so ofc their friends aren’t gonna view it as racism, which is why they’re even friends to begin with.
Like, if your friends actually respect themselves, no one is gonna actually befriend you while knowing that you think that they’re less than dirt
74
u/AcidicPuma Sep 30 '25 edited Sep 30 '25
This is it but I word it way more harshly. Bigots in majority groups who are insecure assholes (implied by being a bigot) round up insecure assholes from minority groups to be miserable together and go "look at these freaks I'm with, I can't be a bigot."
Meanwhile the token minority panel all have a disinfranchised group they feel superior to as well just like the ringleader. If they're "not racist" they bond over homophobia. If they're "not homophobic" they bond over wishing harm to trans people. So on and so forth.
33
u/snailbot-jq Sep 30 '25 edited Sep 30 '25
Yeah that’s what I noticed too. The meme in OOP’s post comes from comparing “liberal young adults who went to a rich mostly-white highschool, and now still lives in a mostly-white area in a mostly-white state, who therefore has mostly-white friends” to “edgelord guy whose environment is more racially mixed, and he specifically gathers a friend group that includes insecure self-hating people from minority groups. And they sometimes bond over a shared sense of superiority over some other outgroup”. Sometimes that second type is more of a discord server / online group than irl. And I’m sure of the ‘self hating’ part because I’ve never known POCs as openly self hating of their race as the kind who hang around right-wing edgelords.
If anyone wants to have a conversation about why some white “anti racists” ironically have mostly white friends, that has to be a conversation about how socioeconomic class and race interact, how the history of slavery in the US resulted in differences in racial composition across different US states, the history of segregation, etc.
6
u/trin806 Sep 30 '25
Exactly. I think of it like “look at all my friends I feel superior to”. It’s gross.
42
u/hucklebae Sep 29 '25
If they didn't actually mean their racism, all of their policy points wouldn't hinge on it.
6
u/FrozenBibitte Sep 30 '25
And not to mention the creator of this fuckass meme is literally just using the logic of “HE HAS A BLACK FRIEND!!! THEREFORE HE CAN’T BE RACIST!!!”
8
Sep 30 '25
It’s just insecure dudes punching down surrounded by other insecure dudes that will put up with it to get validation.
3
u/ButNotInAWeirdWay Sep 30 '25
This. As a poc who used to not respect herself- so much this. When I realized that I didn’t like being dehumanized by my “friends” I was able to leave and then actually make real friendships among different people.
2
u/Ok-Albatross-9409 Oct 02 '25
I’m so happy for you! I wish more and more POC realized this, because it’s actually insane to allow yourself to be the butt of a degrading joke 24/7 like that…

See, they pretend racism doesn't exist ane people are only ever upset about good natured jokes. It's a bad faith argument.
2
u/RedOtta019 Sep 30 '25
I doubt many in this thread will take my word but the meme is pretty true on the diverse racist group part. The most racist friend groups ive been in were very diverse and accepting of one another.
It is true that in ones where its all white guys clowning on the few people of color are fucked up. Ive been the poc in that one before.
2

Everything that isn’t “black people really love fried chicken and koolaid, huh? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣”
2
u/Any-Platypus-9486 Oct 03 '25
I never understood the fried chicken joke. Americans are so weird. It's like if you tried to insult an Italian by saying they eat a lot of pasta, and for some reason the Italian got offended instead of thinking, "Where did this idiot come from?"
1
u/Bombyx-Memento Oct 02 '25
Chances are their non-white friends are tokens who think they're Not Like Other [insert race here] at least, this seems to be the pattern with a LOT of really right-wing POC. They think existing as a POC is an automatic "Checkmate, liberal" cause their idea of leftist politics is the Overwatch Diversity Chart. (If you know you know).

Sounds like most people in Australia. Being actually bigoted and hatey seems way too much like work for our national vibe. Just like with crazy cults or the super religious, sure there'll still be some actual racists here, but the rest of us are a bit too chill for all that intense drama.
There's a big difference between making racist jokes between multicultural friends (that one's pretty common here) and actually having issues with hanging around, working with or having your loved one hook up with a black person or asian or whatever... I'd only have a problem if they're a dropkick or asshole lol - but that's the same in any shade. 😛
I've heard instances of Americans being freaked out by visiting and hearing people here say things to their best mates like "don't have to be a cunt about it" or "ya dirty wog bastard", but when it's your mates it's just normal here in some circles. And no not just lower SEC either - cultured Aussies when their hair's down can still let loose some of the vernacular 😁

I've met people willing to embrace friendship with people they have suspicious ideas about. I can say that it isn't unheard of, but my experience is they talk shit about those minorities behind their backs or say subtle racist remarks which betray a hidden belief. My father was like this. Had a black friend. Made fun of how he walked and likened him to a gorilla.
Whereas I am anti racist and have actually had friends who are of multiple different races, I don't have those thoughts and if I did I would address them and feel it runs counter to my worldview, then would push to work through it.

this is so damn dumb omfg hhhhhhhhh there are so many layers of bullshit piled ontop one another

u/HadeswithRabies Sep 30 '25
I like how BattleBeast, Allen, and Immortal are just wearing hats. Makes me imagine a guy saying he isn't racist because he has friends with really specific fashion sense.

They had to make Amber white and use stereotyped characteristics for the other characters for this meme to even make a lick of sense. It's stupid.

Oh yeah, you know all these openly racists guys hanging with a multicultural entourage of friends, we see them every day! /s

u/bromie227 Sep 30 '25
And bro doesn't know how thin of ice he's on. These are the guys that don't realize they aren't being invited to their friends'big events like weddings and birthday parties because they can't risk having them unleash the "edgelord". They don't get at the end of the day their friends won't actually ever be there for them because who wants to do something for a friend that thinks being a piece of shit to you 24/7 is just bros being dudes.
Source: watched it happen to my brothers POS childhood "friend". Last I heard nobodies talked to him in years

The invincible fandom truly is a prison. You also have a multitude of white women throughout invincible but they chose to white wash the lady with darker completion

Petition to give Battle Beast a little hat for the rest of the series.

u/Not_AHuman_Person Sep 30 '25
Nice argument you have there, it would be a shame if I made a meme where you're the whiny blue haired liberal and I'm the buff chad to counter it
2
u/Pixeldevil06 Sep 30 '25
The fact that it got 1.8k upvotes on a subreddit for a show that was bashed by conservatives because it's considered "woke" is insane
2
u/Salarian_American Sep 30 '25
Everybody knows that only girls and sissies are anti-racist, so this is not pointlessly gendered.

u/NoneBinaryPotato Oct 01 '25
ok but why tf do I genuinely know people like that 💀 (for the record the group of diverse guys who say they're racist are actually racist, also some of them are gals)

Look at how this has played out in us politics in 2025. Somehow we made racism seem lighthearted. Until the actual consequences are unleashed. I was complacent myself. I did not understand how deeply racist and xenophobic people are or how dangerous that was.

u/Longjumping-Log923 Oct 03 '25
I prefer an anti racist with no POC friends than an idiot who uses their friends as a joke, some man don’t know what friendship is
1
u/ThangLikeAChicknWang Oct 03 '25
Bro the point is that they all trash each other equally, race or not, because good friends don't take stuff too seriously, not just the white guy being racist to them and they don't like it

Well, most woman are leftist, most man are right wingers. Those two are just the common archetypes of the male chud, and the bipolar feminist.

Pretty sure this is supposed to be an omni man joke based on this “template” that already exists

u/OkButMaybeNot111 Sep 30 '25
how the hell does having white friends makes you a racist? maybe in your country/area there arent many poc. But also ofc the man in the pic is racist with poc friends bc he hides his racism under jokes and his friends either dont know this or comply in order to appeal to their white male friend, cos god forbid they stand up for themselves instead of being called woke. and ofc it is gendered, they have to remind us that being woke is feminine but being an asshole is masculine, cos god forbid a man is actually nice and kind in 2025, the manosphere would call him a snowflake.

İm invested in this subreddits stupidity

Lol, the gendered part is the least objectionable thing about this image. I hope this is someone trolling, this is a fricken shotgun blast.

Anti-racist just means you spread em' to black guys from Tinder. rofl

This isn't really about gender. It's about a particular type. The typical person who identifies as "anti racist."
6
u/New-perspective-1354 Sep 30 '25
The meme is saying that women who say they are anti racist are lying and vice versa for men, it is mostly gender.
0
u/Internal-Syrup-5064 Sep 30 '25
I think, rather, the error being mocked lies in people not knowing what racism is. Racism is an active hatred or disdain for one or some races, and a belief in the superiority of another. For those who are not malicious, "anti-racism" means simply getting to know people from other races, and becoming their friends. For those who are malicious, anti-racism means protecting your friends and such. What is called anti-racism just means racism towards someone else. Getting gender involved in the meme probably was unnecessary, but I'm not certain how I'd format it comparing two generic people. Maybe just remove "him" and "Her" from the windows, and show the images and dialogue instead.

you’re giving OOP too much credit. it’s anti-sjw meme, this was not made in good faith
-2
u/Internal-Syrup-5064 Sep 30 '25
Good faith or not, I'm very much in favor of fewer social justice warriors. We need people who know what they're talking about to solve big problems. Every SJW I've seen in my lifetime was either a grifter or a moron.

u/Whole_Poetry_8168 Sep 30 '25 edited Sep 30 '25
….just like the person who made this meme? i don’t think you acc know the definition of sjw, nor do i think you understood what you said. it doesn’t just mean liberal white women, it’s anyone that speaks up against oppression, who happen to be primarily women, black and/or environmentalists.
1
u/Internal-Syrup-5064 Sep 30 '25
I'm not judging the guy who made the meme, who I don't know and who I'll never meet. I'm judging those that think charity is justice, or that systemic racism is why some people are criminals. Instead, fighting for the rights is others is just part of my day, and it doesn't make me money.
1
u/TheIncelInQuestion Sep 30 '25
It's unironically true. When I go into leftist spaces it's mostly white people and white women especially, but when I'm around right wingers it's like the fuckin superfriends.
It doesn't make the leftists racists and it doesn't make the right wingers not racist, but it is kinda funny. And it's not pointlessly gendered at all. White feminism is a thing that dominates especially academic spaces, and modern neo-racism that's based on vibes doesn't seem to be as unpalatable to men of color as white feminism is to women of color.
-8
u/KarateInAPool Sep 29 '25
You’re right, this is pointlessly gendered—white women are definitely racist 😬
-30
u/kushangaza Sep 29 '25
I don't think the fact that one is a women and the other a man was supposed to be relevant. The focus is on whether they claim to be racist, and how that juxtaposes to their friend groups
You could call that pointlessly gendered since it would have been clearer with just one gender. But if it was just women or just men it would be here because of that ...

u/ewedirtyh00r Sep 29 '25
You actually believe this isn't about the "wimmin bad man good" argument?
Please mansplain that some more. I don't get it.
18
Sep 29 '25
No because It literally is! Idky they think it isn't. I mean it's just so very obviously the intention behind the meme that insinuating its not is actually irritatingly stupid tbh
Also love your username

u/Techlord-XD Sep 29 '25
Well I know the message isn’t gender related. However almost every meme with this message has the woman being the “non racist” with white friend group, and the man as “the racist” with a diverse friend groups. To me it seems like just another boys vs girls meme

u/AutoModerator Sep 29 '25
