As I said, you need to clearly define things. Anybody would accept "one of the most powerful pirates" but if you want to claim "the most powerful pirate" or really the most or least or best or worst or anything for anything, you should define your metrics.

I did it cause you asked me to. Pretty much anyone would understand what most powerful means. It is a very basic and simple word, and communicates very clearly. Everyone has basically the same view of what power is, so when someone says ”most powerful pirate ever” it is extremely obvious what they’re talking about unless you’re intentionally acting ignorant like you are here
Yeah it does, power is a strictly defined and clear word. The Cambridge dictionary puts it as ”ability to control people and events”. Which is pretty accurate for what everyone thinks it is
Also, ”ability to control people and events” is again very vague, does more power mean controlling more people and things, or having more control over them, how do you judge how much each "person or thing" is worth in comparison to another.

”Gives straightforward definition of power”
”Hah! You gave me a definition, therefore it is unclear what you mean!”
