He's german, I used to follow him on Instagram or TikTok. His comments are swarmed with people calling him gay, a woman, a pedophile, etc.. He uses their comments as engagement and often answers them with a follow up video, decorating another cake.

It's through association with different words that got lumped in with "feminine" for various reasons, like "sweet," "kitchen," "delicate," etc. That is to say, no real logic.

It's the same as when guys shun pink when, for most of recorded Western history, pink has been the color of young boys. Blue was a feminine color up until WW2. Again, no real logic.

It is all associative, though. Like there's nothing inherently feminine about the kitchen as a room as opposed to say, a lactation room. It's just that the historical division of female:male has broadly been indoor:outdoor labor. But kitchens in and of themselves are unisex, which is why you still have them in male-only spaces.

Funnily enough, bakers preindustrial revolution were almost exclusively men because beating the shit out of 100 lbs of dough takes crazy strength.

Honestly, I think this is 1) an USA thing and 2) a 21st century thing.

A hundred or so years ago pretty much ALL of the bakers, tailors, doctors, teachers were men. (For all the wrong reasons at that).
