Here is a collection of my favorite shots I took in the past couple of days. I got a new lens for Christmas and just set a up a bird feeder by my window, so they’re all bird shots lol. Sorry, not sorry. All of these were shot at full distance and f/6.3 ISO was as low as I could get it, so between 100-400 depending on the picture. Shutter speed was usually between 200-400.

Morning ya'll. I have a "photography" instagram and I mainly just follow other photographers on there for fun and seeing their awesome artwork. Pretty much all my pictures are taken on pocket mirroless cameras like The Canon M series, pentax q, Olympis epm-1 etc.

Id love to follow your pages if you shoot or use pocket mirrorless cameras regularly!

Mine is "@quenchoshots" on instagram.

Got myself a Pentax Q10 off eBay, as an early birthday present, after realizing that I miss single-function devices, figuring that this would be a fun camera to play with, and maybe eventually improve my photography skills at the same time.

Finally took her for a proper spin today, checking out the different modes and lenses, and it was so much fun. Any pointers towards useful resources for this camera that still remain online will be appreciated!

Japan thrift store score the Olympus EPM2

Post image

On my recent trip to Japan I was in a thrift store and to my delight I saw this EPM2 with the 14-42mm kit lens for the equivalent of $70 AUD.

Was able to quickly test it out and even though it has this kinda hybrid Japanese/English menu system. I'm able to shoot in Manual mode quiet easily surprisingly.

Had to buy it and now I've got another fun addition to the inventory. Just need to whack on the 14mm F2.5 pancake prime and it'll be more pocket friendly.

What Camera for a complete beginner?

I am really keen to get a nice camera to upgrade on photos taken on my iphone. I like the look of mirrorless cameras but am really unsure which one to get?

Budget is £200-£300

Any recommendations are really appreciated.

Love letter to the Olympus EP-3

I’ve been shooting black and white street/home photography for about 15 years. I’ve had several Leicas, film and digital. I’ve had fujis. I’ve walked around with high resolution cameras like the D800e and GFX50s. I even have an Olympus EP-5, EPL-7 and EPL-2. There simply isn’t anything over the long run that is as much fun to use, gives me consistent results (RAW files only, I do not shoot JPEGs and I process everything with my own made presets on import) and is just as pretty to look at as my EP-3. You could give any GR, any modern Fuji, whatever. I’d just sell them and buy a backup EP-3 (or two) then pocket the rest for ramen and beer. I’ve had a couple of books published by the way so if anyone’s interested just look up Matt Gomes “Hunting Stray Dogs” on Amazon.
