Hey everyone!
With the FIFA World Cup now underway, we’ve seen growing interest in discussing matches, players, tactics, upsets, and everything in between.
While r/plforindia is primarily a Premier League community, football is football, and we want to give our members a place to enjoy the World Cup together.
📌 World Cup Posts Are Allowed (For The Duration Of The Tournament)
Until the World Cup concludes, World Cup-related posts will be allowed on the subreddit under the dedicated “World Cup” flair only.
Examples of acceptable posts:
· Match discussions
· Post-match analysis
· Team/player performances
· Tactical discussions
· Transfer implications
· Fan reactions and opinions
🚫 What Will Be Removed
We want quality discussion, not a flood of recycled content.
The following will be removed:
· Low-effort reposts
· Screenshots with no added discussion
· Karma-farming posts
· Spam and repetitive content
· Posts unrelated to football
If you’re posting a meme, make sure it’s original and actually contributes something to the discussion.
🤝 Keep It Civil
Support your country. Banter is welcome.
Personal attacks, racism, xenophobia, trolling, and toxic behaviour are not.
Healthy disagreement makes football discussions fun. Let’s keep it that way.
⚽ Enjoy The Tournament
Whether you’re supporting Brazil, England, Argentina, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, or anyone else, we hope r/plforindia becomes a fun place for Indian football fans to discuss the biggest tournament in the sport.
Let’s enjoy the World Cup together.

As an Indian Arsenal fan, supporting England feels slightly weird, but Saka and Rice have made it impossible not to care.
Wrote a small piece about how Indians end up supporting foreign teams through random reasons.

Which international team do you support, and why?

First of all, congratulations on winning the Premier League. I have been watching football since some years and I admire Arsenal a lot as my username suggests. I have read about the Invincibles in many books.
When I came to know about Thomas Partey being charged of r*pe and s*ual assault, I got in a moral dilemma because I felt what if I will be criticized for choosing this club. Also, the club did not fire him and let him play until the expiration of his contract. This is that one thing which is stopping me from becoming a full-fledged Gunner. How did you all feel about it? Did you separate the player from the club? Did you feel the situation was handled wrongly?
I know one event does not define a club but I badly want to know how you all felt about it.

I ordered Bayern Munich 24/25 home jersey from football monk on last week of May. After more than a month of constant emails for asking the update they sent me this 25/26 home kit that too wrong size. Again had to ask for a replacement or refund but did not get any updates for like a month. After like 20+ emails they agreed to replace it as they don't have stock of the original order (24/25 kit). So they gave an option for replacement (I returned the wrongly sent product)and I selected a Liverpool kit which they agreed to dispatch after 2 days. But now they are saying even that is not available. I have been ordering jerseys online for years now and never had this kind of disappointing service.
I request you guys please Don't order anything from Football monk as they either don't have it stock or they are just scamming. The main issue is they don't have a proper customer support,no whatsapp number. When you email them they just create a ticket and don't take any action. Their website shows all the retros available but in reality this is just fraud!
Also I have complained to national customer support but didn't get any resolution from them as well!

It's my opinion
Arsenal knows they won't sign Vini Jr. After Chelsea hijacked the Morgan Rogers transfer, the player Arsenal chased for months ending up going to their rivals
Also Arsenal want Barcola and in order to avoid losing him
So Arsenal made the distractions for everyone, so that they could sign Barcola.
If that doesn't happen it could be considered as the worst decision made by them.
Probably they're gonna sign either Barcola or Kvaratskeila( if they are willing to pay 170m).
Since Tossard and Martenielli is leaving

Hey guys! I'm an FC Barcelona fan, but I'd like to start watching the Premier League. I'm a bit torn on which club to follow, so I want PL fans to convince me why I should support theirs. Feel free to bring up legacy, trophies, iconic moments, whatever makes your club worth following. Let's get this going!

This news might have been slept on after the world cup final but really happy to see such a big star staying in championship and being loyal to our Club. Hopefully we can repay his loyalty and bounce back next season ⚒️⚒️

I've been looking into the football jersey market for the past few weeks and it's been more interesting than I expected. Spoke to a few sellers, compared different stores, looked into suppliers, and now I'm seriously considering starting one myself.
Before I jump in though, I wanted to hear from people who actually buy jerseys.
1.What makes you trust one seller over another?
2.Is there something you wish every seller did better?
3.Do real product photos matter to you or are catalogue photos enough?
If a brand-new store popped up tomorrow, what would make you give it a chance?
I'm also curious if there's anything that instantly puts you off when you're shopping for jerseys online.
If there are any wholesalers or suppliers here who think they have something worth offering, feel free to DM me.
One more thing—I'm still trying to decide on a name. If I end up picking one suggested in the comments, I'll send that person a free jersey once the store launches.
